As the season of goodwill approaches, the players of Scunny, Wigan & Bradford are finding it hard to sleep, excited at the thought of the 3 points we are going to gift each of them over the Xmas period. Meanwhile our preparations for this busy time are going well. We have a keeper that divides opinion, our alleged best left back carted off on a stretcher on Saturday, a handful of games after returning from injury, now looking likely to be spending another period on the sidelines. Our star midfielder now spending his Saturday afternoons at anger management courses instead of doing what he is paid to do by his club. The number one striker has personal problems and is way out of form, but just to help alleviate that matter, his front line partner decides to kindly help the cause by taking his lipstick out of his handbag and throwing it at his opponent, thus getting himself a three match ban. The centre back pairing is now starting to shape up to be Jay & Collo. Both played ok against Oldham, but not something I would look forward too long term, however Edgar now looks like he is shaping up to being a sickly Victorian child.
Only bright spot is we might see 3 or 4 minutes of JW in action over Christmas.
Oh well, ever in optimism (ha), Merry Xmas (Bah humbug)

but this is Sheffield United.. the most contrary team in football history. they'll just about win them all now.

Dear Santa
Could you please make sure all our players are fully recovered from injury for xmas , and can you bring a new mojo as our old ones worn out,
We would love some magic dust so the ball bounces a bit kinder in the box for us and can you get meceVerly a pair of boots with one left foot and one right to replace the 2 left ones hes wearing. But most of all can you just bring a little joy for our supporters so they can appreciate even the simplest of wins as they no longer believe

You know BTL, I am fed up of having nothing positive to say, so I am going to put something that is for a change, with a slight rider. That win against Oldham was dull as dishwater but we won, so genuinely, well done United. Made me feel a bit better.

In the bleak midwinter,
Frosty winds made moan,
Earth stood hard as iron,
Water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow,
snow on snow,
In the bleak midwinter, long ago.

What can I give Him,
Poor as I am,
If I were a shepherd,
I would give a lamb,
If I were a wise man, I would do my part,
Yet what I can I give Him,
Give my heart.
