Looks like EVERYBODY stayed to applaud the team from the pitch. Maybe with 'You Can Do Magic' playing.
I must have sat near you? My seat was usually A85 from 1970 to 1977I was 16 , I might have still been up in the BLUT with my Dad (both ST holders since it opened)
The third one was John Street Terrace, not sure about the second oneYour first picture looks like it was a snapshot of the Kop as it seems to have alot of younger fans in there with the mandatory 70s big hair and moustaches or beard.
Was the last two pictures, a snapshots of the old John Street terrace ? as its got a lot more older fans on there, with a lot wearing shirt and tie as was the fashion for older gentlemen back then.
Might not be that many of the younger fans still around and going (probably all their 70s now at least), whilst the older fellas in JS are probably long since gone. Nice to see pictures of of our older generation Blades at the games. The black and white footage of the original set of fans (v Bury in 1902 i think) always makes me smile. I bet they had no concept about what the Lane would look like, nor what the match day experience is like for most, about 125 years later. Different world.
Amazing number of jackets and ties on show - don't think you'd see so many (if any) now.
I'm more amazed by those fold-out paper baseball caps- don't think you'd see so many (if any) now!Amazing number of jackets and ties on show - don't think you'd see so many (if any) now.
