I never realised Currie and Edwards played in the same team.

I never realised Currie and Edwards played in the same team.

Played together 4 times. Edwards' debut in the 3-0 FA Cup defeat at Leicester (we were awful, there is youtube footage of the highlights for the match). Edwards' League debut was coming on as sub in the above QPR match. Both played for 90 minutes in the 4-1 defeat at home to Wolves and the 2-1 home defeat against Ipswich in March

I think Stan Bowles (or a different person who played for QPR at the time) criticised manager Dave Sexton in his autobiography saying that Dave respected United "too much" and decided to play safe tactics which had cost them a point (they finished a point below champions Liverpool at the end of the season)
