Any particular reason?

I don't know of any particular Blades beef with him.

His managerial reputation looks to have been restored. His future job prospects look good.
The media absolutely cums over him despite his managerial mediocrity.

I don’t mind him to be honest. Never really done anything to get on tits in the past. Better than fat turd Rooney who is instantly dislike able .

I mean, we should beat them but the venue and pitch don't fill me with great confidence! And they seem to be getting players back fit as well.

I think the fact that the current Sunderland team doesn't look anywhere near as good as they did a few months ago. It won't be easy but I think if we play as we have recently then we should win.

It's difficult to know whether it's a good thing we've got Sunderland over Coventry. But Coventry caused Sunderland a lot of problems in their own yard and we're a better team than Coventry.

Sunderland play defensively as we know, they don't seem as solid defensively as they did a few months ago, they sit very deep but with Moore we have a big guy as a focal point. As long as we don't go one down to Sunderland then I think we'll do it. If they score first then it could be harder with their tactics but we can create chances v these. I do think this is our year.

You would think they'd play against us as they did against Coventry in the first leg. Concede possession, sit deep and break.

I think it's also worth saying that if Cov had got there from one nil down they'd have been on a huge high as well, like Sunderland are too but Sunderland have played pretty poorly tonight - at home. I didnt fancy playing Cov from the perspective of that they lost not long ago and teams who get there again within a year or so often win the next time round. As long as we are aware of their counter attack we can do these.

Sunderland were shite. This actually is the time to win a play-off final before I die of old age.

In the history of the EFL Championship play-offs (since their inception in 1987), the third and fourth-placed teams have faced each other in the final on two occasions:
  1. 2006 Final: Third-placed Watford defeated fourth-placed Leeds United 3–0.
  2. 2014 Final: Fourth-placed Queens Park Rangers beat third-placed Derby County 1–0.
Therefore, in these matchups, the third-placed team secured promotion once.

Overall, third-placed teams have reached the final 18 times and won promotion on 10 occasions.
