It's difficult to know whether it's a good thing we've got Sunderland over Coventry. But Coventry caused Sunderland a lot of problems in their own yard and we're a better team than Coventry

Agree if we’re a 10 then Sunderland are potentially a 9 but are totally out of form and looked more like a 5 in recent weeks and also against Coventry.

Coventry are only a 6 but are in good form with a great spirit and confidence in the club. Momentum counts for a lot.

Coventry would have played like Bristol City having loads of possession taking the game to us. We would have sat back soaking up pressure then hitting them in the break looking more dangerous.

Where as Sunderland will see that our weakness is slow defenders so they’ll sit back letting us control midfield then they’ll hope to hit us on the break with their quick forwards.

Daft as it sounds I’d prefer is to play Sunderland because the players and manager will expect and be prepared for a tougher game where as we’d be hot favourites to beat Coventry with everyone saying we outclassed them only a few weeks ago. Results rarely repeat themselves and no doubt Lampard would see our 3-1 win and develop new tactics to surprise us.

Don’t think we played well against Sunderland in the league and we are now much better. Where as Sunderland are not the same team as we played them in the league.

I know what you mean but I kind of disagree.

United can be playing poorly but have quality individuals who can score a goal from nothing.

We have a much better squad than Sunderland so in the later stages all our subs are good enough to start in the 1st 11.

If we're not to go up, I'm glad it will be Sunderland who do. It's hardly the same as losing to Burnley..... or Yeovil. They're a genuinely big club, a northern club and a powerful powerful football club who I'd prefer in the PL. They're also proper proper. They're all the football club things
