It’s Leicester away

Lived there for 3 years at Uni so a chance to visit old haunts etc...only an hour away, some decent boozers and a fairly big allocation. Hard tie.

Would have preferred a Chelsea, City, Man Utd, Spurs at home or away or a rubbish team at home.

Still could have been worse

My mates went to uni there. So can fully appreciate the points you make.

For some reason as Leicester were draw I said, out loud, 'oh no' as I just felt we were going to get them. Hope it's on TV so we earn a bit.

Same here. Reasonably shitty team who are sadly probably quite good. Still, I should be able to get there.

There is a good chance that Leicester could win the cup this season. They’re not going down, no chance of CL so I reckon it will be full squad against us.

Fair chance our midfield will be Bash, Lunny and Duff! We won’t cope with the pace of Vardy and Gray so let’s hope it’s on TV and we can pocket a wedge and move on.

All about Top 6 now.

The Magic Becomes Clearer

Mmmmmm.... only been to Leicester once and that was in the FACup in the mid 70’s and we got beat that day. I thought at the start of the season that Lord Wilder might just get revenge for some of the previous failures in the past ie Boxing Day etc. Never saw this one coming though.
Jimmy Johnstone played that day and I remember a load of scrapping on a bridge over a river near Filbert St.
Somebody could remind me of the score cos I’ve forgotten.
Think we lost 3- 0, third round from memory.

Well they knocked us out of the league cup and I assume they will do the same in the FA cup.

Potentially a good day out, presumably not interesting enough to get moved for TV...? Please?

I can hear the laughter now (and the abuse) when they start fuckin clackin

Went when we lost 4-2 on 'watch how big a twat the police can be' day a few years back. Massive national crackdown on trouble at loads of grounds. Marched from the station to the pub across the road and then from the pub to the ground. And if I remember right the bars were shut in the ground because Wolves had smashed them up the week before?

We won, 3 black eyes and a kidney punch to nil

I can see the Pigs v Swansea on TV due to the old v new pigs manager, unless County win.

About as excited as i was when hearing we had drawn Ipswich and then Preston.

Done us twice recently at home in two pointless cup games, maybe we will return the compliment.

I can vaguely remember that did the away end have no roof at that time and I can remember a lot of afters outside.

Underdogs, fully expected by all and sundry to lose... that’s just how we Blades like it! They’ll write us off (esp after their milk cup win at BDTBL).
However... It’s the FA cup, shocks happen, you never know, CW will be well up for it!
Write us off at your peril, as the previous season & half as shown, we re as good as anybody on our day!

Been to the shithole that was Filbert St. twice .......... 3-0 defeat in FA Cup 3rd round in the mid 70's (Keith Weller in black tights if memory serves) and the magnificent 05-05-90 'Sheffield Double'

Not the best draw but we'll give it a good go, hopefully.
