Like Ahmedhodzic, maybe an investement too good to turn down? Young athletic guy with good ability playing at a not great level; big clubs hesitating and we jump in?

Is just me or does he look as though he's a bit of a CDM

I saw Ismaël Koné play for Montreal at the end of June away at Seattle Sounders. They won 2-1, he was subbed off on 76.

Probably what we could do with as Fleck and Osborn are injured and the amount of attacking midfielders we have.

Not 1 attempted tackle, and about 2 half hearted attempts at closing him down. I hope he's not expecting the championship to be anything like that

The worst thing for him will be that if he replaces Sander, he will only be looked at in direct comparison to Sander. Time will paint Sander into some kind of perfect midfielder in many people’s minds, which will be impossible for anyone to live up to.

It seems many have forgotten what sander was like even later than this time last season.

Even at Birmingham away he was still pretty shit/average. He was a huge frustration for ages last season.

Be a massive miss though. He’s definitely improved a shit load.

I think Luton away might be a wake up call. No idea who the lad was but was hoping he could add abit of steel to our midfield which was lacking that night.

Think it will be McAtee or Doyle who takes Berge’s minutes this kid will likely be stashed for a while until McCall has whipped him into shape

This guy has hardly played any football He is at best one that we can develop

Living in the US and I still don't watch much MLS. But what I have seen it is pretty physical with a lot of Central and South American players. Skill level is on par with the Championship, maybe a little higher. It's not the Prem. He'll do well over and should adapt pretty quick. Got to admit he doesn't stand out as an MLS superstar, ESPN don't exactly wet themselves over him like they do some of th US national team players. Our recruiting team must see something and I hope they are right again. ANEL?

Who is Alphonso Davies? I hear you ask. Well.....
No fkin clue, except he's Canadian and they love him up there, apparently.
Is that a serious question? If so he's Bayern Munich's regular left back and can also play on the left wing.

If Kone is even half as good as Davies then we are signing a potential superstar

I would be interested in what Canada did maybe 10-15 years ago to produce this current group of players that have got them to the world cup. Davies, David, kone etc

Anybody got any actual knowledge on this kid?

Football Manager and Fifa doesn't count

I do watch a good bit of MLS and I am aware of him, but he doesn’t jump out at me or fill me with bags of excitement.

He’s lanky like Sander, but he doesn’t have the same steam from what I remember of him. The main asset that Sander has is his ability to turn on pace and take people on with the ball glued to his feet? I don’t see that in this lad, but I haven’t seen anywhere near enough of him.

In comparisons of play, I think The Barnsley lad has a similar level of forward drive, but he lacks the height.

Shitest show reel ever. Genuinely I’ve no idea what ability it was supposed to demonstrate.
It wasn't a show reel, just some involvements on the ball on his international debut. It showed him playing deep in midfield, quite tidy and distributing the ball comfortably and precisely, though not under a lot of pressure.

Maybe this is the athletic combative CM we're asking for and Berge will be replaced by Khadra and McAtee

Or maybe Berge will stay and we're confident enough in Kone to sign him regardless, backed up be the value we hold in Berge, Anel, Ndiaye and others which can be cashed in if necessary further down the line
