I’d personally be more for bringing Robinson in. I think he’d be better value (could be wrong, but I think £8m would take him?) and I’d be more confident that he’d take to our squad and system. I’ve a feeling the best is still to come from him, he’ll have a big season this season and will end up doubling in value next Summer...

Maupay for the reported price yesterday is appealing but I'm firmly in the Robinson camp.

He really does tick every box, would give us real attacking flexibility and already knows a few of our players. I think £7-8m rising to £10m would ultimately get him.

Maupay's goalscoring is the attention grabber but if Robinson played the same number of games he would have had 20+ goals as well. In which case everybody would be clamouring for him. If he gets 10-15 goals before January for Preston, he might be available cheaper due to his contract expiring, but we'd no longer be at the front of the queue. I'd like us to go for him while we are.
