Trigger Blade
Cheerful twaddle
There's irony, you using the argument that we need to move because our current ground wouldn't be big enough if we get promoted twice!

Jesus, no, Metalblade. That place is looks damned awful and did do when Toytown played there. How the hell do you get that lovely 'closed in' feeling? We spent long enough being ridiculed for having a three sided ground, why go back? Why take United out of Sheffield?
Move the pitch closer to the main stand, paint the steelwork red and it would look great, that would keep most of the League One crowd under cover while we build new stands on the other three sides. Enough room to hold 60,000 eventually.
That is the point there is no space at the lane, can't make the Bramall lane or John St stands any bigger and not much scope for the South stand now McCabe's hotel is directly behind one corner. How long before other developments restrict any improvements for the kop ? Should we ever get back to the top tier of the game a 32,000 ground capacity will not be good enough to sustain us for long.
the world cup plans , double tiering the south stand and rebuilding the kop gave us 42000 capacity , just rebuilding the kop takes us to 37000 , that will be plenty in our lifetime
Same here. And as you say we could easily expand to 37k.too radical , plus if we get to 42000 which the above accomodates easily then do we need more , Ive only attended 2 45000 gates at the lane in 50 years, both when it was standing and under a fiver
the vincente calderon has 5 lanes of traffic and 2 wide pedestrian walkways under it , and more than the maximum height for mototorway bridges, and has red and white striped seating , lovely

If you want something radical , we could at the bramall lane end do what Atletico Madrid have done at the Vincente Calderon , I was there this season for the Madrid derby and didnt realise the main road I drove in on was under the stand

Nothing stopping us straddling Bramall Lane
