Indeed. Very selfish of the man to have the club’s medium-term future in mind when efforts to improve the short-term failed, and awful foresight to buy a player that went on to be the African Cup of Nations Player of the Tournament.
His efforts failed. He was hopelessly out of his depth at the highest level. He should have been thanked profusely then sacked once he achieved promotion.
