Is it time up for Billy?

Don't see why it has to be absolutely black or white? Billy not playing well, ergo: career over...

We've got a squad, why not use it? In the same way that Edna's not being great recently, give Danny Lafferty a run for a while, but no need at all to reach the conclusion that Edna needs a slap & to be shipped off back to Portsmouth.

Billy's had poor runs of form before, especially under the Goose Plucker, but we weren't in a position squad-wise to drop him back then. But things are different now.

In saying that though, CW's got to maintain harmony. He's not gonna want to alienate the single most important person in creating the squad cohesion & happiness that's been enjoyed in recent times. Not an easy situation.

Clayton did more coming on as sub than Billy did the entire time he was on the pitch....says it all really.

I don't think Billy is finished but his starts will be very limited from now on, especially with Ched on his way back and if another forward comes in during the window.

In the Adkins season Sharp had a run of just 1 goal in 12 games in the autumn.

Last season after that brilliant February, he went without a goal in 7 games.

His current spell without a goal is at 7 games.

This is hardly “time up” territory, and shouldn’t be particularly surprising for anyone that’s paid any attention to previous dry spells he’s had with us.

doesn’t say ‘anything’.. billy has 8 goals how many does the Don have?

It says that Bills current form is not as good as the Dons....OK, Billy has scored 8 goals and Donaldson only 4......how many minutes gas each played though? Go on...work it out...I'll wait....

I think it’s just a very small minority on here that think Billy’s time is up. The vast majority agree it’s just an out of form period that all footballers endure. Would I drop him today? 100%. Would I pick him to start against the unclean? Too right I would. He would be my first name on the teamsheet. A dip in form is one thing but I’ve a feeling one or two might be eating humble pie in the near future.

Oh I hope he does.

And plays out the end of his career with a club whose fans aren't a set of ingrate scumbags.

To be fair, of all the people I speak to and go to games - I'm actually his harshest critic...

The only logical conclusion is to assume it's a number of keyboard warriors who think it makes them look clever and controversial like a judge on a tv programme - when in fact it just highlights their complete lack of intelligence and football nous.

Was that in league 1 or the championship.

Its a bit unfair to suggest that its all over for Billy.
the facts are that performances have not been brilliant and Billy hasnt scored for a number of games.
Now this has also coincided with a slump in form for the team with results not being what they were.
Does that mean that the whole first 11 are finished?
Now consider how many chances has Billy actually had in the games where he hasnt scored?? Not a lot.

He's had dips in form before and come back with a bang.

No not at all. We're having a bit of a wobble of form and some people just seem intent on finding someone to pin that on. Last season's top scorer, second top scorer this time out. He's fine and we'll pick up and be fine too.
