Think I’ve sussed it. The bottom hem - being so big - was in fact the collar but the folk in the sweatshop didn’t get the memo. Sewed it on the bottom and were then left confused when there was no collar to sew on. Ended up using the leftovers from the away shirt for the collar.

Having Errea means that all garments are hand stitched in Italy by a direct descendant of Romulus and Remus. The problem is that it’s the one who’s on drugs and can’t sew straight.

For anyone that way inclined the hem looks like it’d be fairly easy to remove.
