Every Blade has known for a while what type of player was needed. We have a manager who has signed exactly that in Tangenga, Soumare etc(if they were his targets) but because of his mind boggling tactics and selections it will make absolutely no difference. If that isn't irony I don't know what is

Don’t think that’s actually irony, to be honest. Irony would be Jack Robinson moving to somewhere like Watford and becoming an England capped, free scoring, international megastar commanding transfer fees of £80million +

Rain on your wedding day isn’t an example of irony either, just shit bad luck.

What about a free ride when you’ve already paid? Are we saying she was talking bollocks?

The Robinson analogy wouldn't be irony it would be a ridiculous parallel universe.

A free ride when you’ve already paid has got some irony in it. A black fly in your Chardonnay isn’t ironic in the slightest, nor is ignoring the good advice that you just didn’t take. So basically, Alanis was talking bollocks for much of the song which is, in itself, a tad ironic when she was singing a song about irony.
