"International investor"?
I reckon McCabe's found a couple of euros down the back of the sofa.

Just one thought*. The letter states we've gained an ''equal partner''. So I assume whoever it is will only ever match (at best) what McCabe puts in. Why would you put in more than that when your power is limited to 50%?

So we're not talking about the big mega-bucks league here (I'd never expect us to attract that, if they had that much money they'd be starting higher up the league and take control of a club 100% - that's what I'd do anyway).

BUT this isn't a moan. Just trying to work out stuff from the little we have so far. And anyway, doubling your pot at this level is a HUGE achievement. I don't think you have to spend much for it to make a big difference.

*...from a complete financial know-nowt.

No it means, McCabe is sticking around but is only taking 50% of the profits now.

He's merely sold 50% of his shares in the club. Usually investors give money to a business, grow the business and sell their share for a profit

OR

Buy out the majority shareholder (McCabe)

Let's see what the next year or so brings

It's a middle eastern investment. Takes the form of a "contra" deal. They supply us with a years worth of petrol for the lawn mowers.

Been away for a while.

Investment whats all this about?

Has McCabe got another Nigerian E-mail?

Only just saw this point..

Shares are low and McCabe doesn't want "as much" for the club as he would have in 2006. He doesn't want out but can't afford to run the club in the long term back to where he wants. He's gone out to seek investment and got that.

Let's say for example McCabe owns 100 shares at £1 each. He's sold £50 worth and the promise of funds available. The investor know that if he puts in say £1m to new players, we can reach the Championship and his £50 is now worth £75. If we get to the Premiership £100..

The investors will bugger off when they get what they want out of it or will eventually buy McCabe out when the club is back in a rosy position

I assume if its 50/50 The Chairman will have the casting vote, therefore maintains control?

Like anything its size that matters, Ive just invested in a new pair of socks, , I also invested in Mollys cafe , buying some bacon and tomato futures in a flat cap fund setting.
Lets stay cool calm and wait for the calculating to get under way.

Do we think Sammy Yoo has got bored of trying to buy Wednesday and then went to staples for some ink for his printer and thought "What's that stadium over there? Hmmmm."

Another pie in the sky investment rumour.

I wonder who is being sold on Transfer Deadline day?

Why is it a joke? It's clear DW is being allowed funds before the deadline, isn't it? I prescribe a happy pill.

yeah i put that before i noticed McCabe's interview about more signings. I just thought it was 2 years ago MK2. Happy pill now taken ;)

Look what our new friend has done... let the cat out of the bag good and proper.

Even happier mate, when you look at the quality!

Baxter AND Chevalier!!

That's dreamland at League One level. The third man has to be a striker, you would think. Wilson?

All of this might be my fault. I travelled through Dubai last night on my way back to Japan, not enough to start a rumour but I was carrying a copy of the FT (international edition) under my arm. I don't normally read it but the only other option was the herald tribune. Anyway, I'd got a load of change in my pocket and someone must've heard it rattling as I walked past

They must've put two and two together. Sorry

It may be that as part of the deal the loans that McCabe has made to SUFC are being written off, thus McCabe is "investing" to the tune of however much those loans are.

Or it may not be...

Swizzler of Arabia. Not quite right is it?

So, you've forgiven The Red And White Wizards for the 6-0 in 1993 then? 5-0 at half-time and for me, the novel experience of knowing even we couldn't mess it up from there!

Top match. To be fair, the Spurs lads didn't stop singing.

There's a guy on Pork Talk who sounds as if he knows what is going on (although of course he could be bullshitting).

SEEMS HE WAS BULLSHITTING (Canyoujust) on Porktalk.

He says it is Dubai International Capital and eventually they will buy out Scarborough Group.
