Us and the Oinkers the biggest clubs in the League.

Good to know on average the pigs never fill over half their stadium.

theres 20000 blue plastic seats as good as new , only ever been sat on 4 times in a decade

in our last 2 seasons in this division weve finished 2nd, well thats the glass half full look at it

heres one for you, we finish second to the pigs. Is that a successful season?

Anything that gets us out of this fucking league will be a successful season. If the pigs get 100 points and win the title, we finish 6th on the last day, sneak the play offs, and win the final on penalties, I'd still class that as a successful season, as long as we are a championship club in 2012/13.

1st 6th
going up is all that matters

having a tin pot to say your top , meaningless in the long game

Yes, of course it would be nice to win the league, every fan wants that, but yeah as you say, promotion is all that matters. Especially as the new TV deal kicks in for 2012/13 that sees a 25% reduction for championship clubs, so fuck knows how we will get screwed if we're still in L1.

Hope this little summary is interesting, shocking at how small some of the clubs are in League 1.

Hartley.

Shows how far football has come though - I remember us being neck and neck with Wolves for largest average attendance (by some margin) when we were promoted with Bassett - our typical crowd was 11-12k with an overall average of around 15k. A good number of clubs at this level are not far off that now.

That was probably because Norwich (capacity 26,000; average crowd 25,000), Leeds (40,000; 25,000) and Scunthorpe (9,000; 6,000) were replaced by Wednesday (39,800; 17,800), Peterborough (15,000; 6,500) and Plymouth (21,000; 8,500)

yes 2 high figures went up
but this season saints crowds were up 2000 as they went up fr0m just over 20000 to just over 22000

and the 3 who came up had better gates than the 3 they replaced

but remember the average is taken for div 1 for 336 games
not 46 games of 2 clubs home fixtures

a 17.5% drop is still massive

this season the average gate of the champions brighton was a paltry 7352 and posh 6450
