What an arsehole....
Fouling is not bullying or cheating, you risk a yellow,a sending off or conceding from the resulting free kick them’s the RULES and the consequences.
However, holding your fookin face and going down like a kid throwing a tantrum cos they can’t have another ice cream in an attempt to con the ref is “AAAAAAGH!!! YOU FFFFFFFFKIN WA%*** ! .....and should be punishable by firing squad,Minimum.

How many soft penalties has Zaha won them in the last few years? Bet they weren't up in fucking arms about "bullying" then. That Milojevic or whatever he's called gets into double figures every season thanks to Zaha, nobody would have heard of him otherwise.

Boils my piss bollox like this. If woy had left him on the left wing he wouldn't have been fouled half as much. He facilitated the terrible bullying of young delicate wilf.

Wilf, you’re not getting much joy with Baldock, try cutting in and taking Basham on.

“Fuck off, I’ll play on the other side’

If you take a rational look at the match stats and measure the misdemeanours in terms of the number of fouls related to possession, then Palace were the main offenders with a foul-ratio of 4.33 to the Blades foul-ratio of 4.07. The yellow-card count was 3 for Palace, and 2 for the Blades.

But wasn't it one of our players that actually gave blood and finished the game with a bandaged head after being nutted ?.....

Syed is OK but he is a total wimp. He was a table tennis star! He would take physical contact out of boxing if he could!
Table-tennis star? Hardly. Never troubled the world's top 20. Very similar to Zaha - the biggest name in a very small talent pool.
Now fancies himself as some sort of motivational guru despite (by his own admission) choking at the Sydney Olympics.

For God's sake

I can't read the story and I'm not registering for any News UK rag .

I'm amazed it's taken any one this long to notice to be honest

We aren't a dirty side, and we commit a normal number of fouls but we do rotate it about a bit

Our 1 suspension so far this season is a testament to the planning involved. Not sure what the fuss is about, I'm sure others do it

I posted three table tennis related retorts on that thread.

He didn't respond to any of them :-(

I hate all these stupid phrases in football nowadays. Rotational fouling???? This is a pretty new one on me. What a load of old shit.

It's ok if Pep does it though.

He's even admitted it and the media barely batted an eyelid at the time.

There was a piece that covering this specific syed article on sky’s ‘the debate’ show last night. Danny Murphy and Matthew Upson both derided syed’s points, with the former describing him as ‘the former table tennis player’ i.e. he’s never played professional football at the highest level.
They both agreed that if one player is fowled more then that’s probably because he is the best player and has the ball more, often dribbling and moving side to side, position to position therefore up against more opposition players. This is classic zaha.
Also they argued this should benefit his teammates as they have more opportunities themselves. But Palace didn’t.
Just hope syed saw this and sticks to a sport he understands in future.

It’s actually a shame he’s not still doing his podcasts with Robbie Savage and Flintoff as it would have made for a good listen.
This type of article is actually typical of him and his “style” as he tries to see things from a different point of view and sometimes he’s quite insightful.
His books, Bounce which looks at his own sporting achievement and what’s generally thought of as natural talent vs just having access to top quality coaching and Black Box Thinking which breaks down marginal gains, are really quite good and interesting reads. Even if you don’t agree he raises interesting points for wider discussion.
He’s had a bit of a mare here though.

If W. Zaha was really good he would avoid any tackle made on him outside of a body check. Maybe look at some G. Best videos should give him some ideas.
The ping-pong man wants to look at S. Mathews philosophy on football as played by a top winger. Defenders in his day, 'specially full back took no prisoners.
Regards Crystal Palace supporters, I remember leaving Wembley '97, lowlife.
Also their present manager, he's only five years younger than me, can't he let go? Why some people think their indispensable I'll never know. Agree with him still working, just step back a little, advisory capacity say, sure it would do the club good.
Oh and looking at the photo Zaha is hold of George Baldock's shirt, could he be looking for a foul, looks 50-50 to me. Kidney punch for a shirt pull.;)
Decades ago the Sunday Times magazine ran a pictorial on the damage done to George Bests body during a game. Pictured in shorts, with full views of legs from, back and chest, he was covered in bruises and cuts. Maybe his bird did it as part of their love making? I liked the stud marks on his upper thigh best.
Never done with a perverted girlfriend who wore footy boots in bed. 😇🤷‍♂️

You make a good point about our disciplinary record this season. I’d love to see our stats compared to other PL sides this season. Wilders views on such shithousery are well known.

Billy sent off for being daft, hardly marks us a rough house side.

It's a load of bollox goes on in football always has done , refs know it's happening but all professionals accept it as part of the game.
At least today players are protected from the real hard cases who abounded in Bestie and Curries days but institutional bullying is bollox its professional sport and players would be in trouble with there coaches if they didnt do what's necessary.
It's the beautiful game but let's not forget what term professional means !!!.

I only watched the highlights of the Palace match but all I saw from Palace was them giving the ball to Zaha then hoping he was going to beat the three or four people in front of him. I did wonder why they didn't just switch the ball quickly to the other side and take half of our defence out of the equation. However, I'm not a coach with thirty odd years of experience.

More like 130 in Hodgson’s case.
