Zaha had around 87 touches of the ball and was fouled eight times - one foul every ten or so touches.

Sharp touched the ball 17 times and was fouled three times - one foul every seven or so touches.

Syed, whose work I usually enjoy reading, has thought of a conclusion and then gone looking for evidence rather than the other way around.
 



Can say the same with Grealish, he's Villa's only threat so if he get's a good kicking, the rest have nothing to offer. If there's one bloke who's head and shoulders above the rest, he's going to be targeted.
Same back in my rugby days, if there's a bloke who's obviously better than the rest of his team, one of us would go and wipe him out, legally or otherwise and see what the reaction is. The rest of the team will look to this guy to carry them and if his confidence has been shot, we've got them on the ropes immediately.
 
Zaha - like Grealish - is very talented but that will only take them so far when they're surrounded by shite. They are wasted at Palace and Villa (although Zaha didn't pull any trees up at Man. U.)
Now, their entire raison d'être is to reduce the opposition to ten men.

Did anyone see the Zinchenko sending off? Oh that made my day. A Man City player does that every single game and they nearly always get away with it. Laporte did it early in the season and that's how he got injured as he fell taking out a player - served him right (and fucked up their title challenge). Think it was Rodri that took out Fleck in the game at Bramall Lane and now Zinchenko gets a red for doing exactly the same thing. Player gets the better of the man and will be through on goal and one of them will cynically take the man out with no attempt at getting the ball. You watch their games and I guarantee it will happen at least once or more in every game they play.

I don’t even go on Twitter and even I know ‘my daughter said’ is one of the biggest and saddest cliches of social media. ‘I was watching the news today and my three year old daughter said “why is Corbin/Trump/Johnson such a fucking wanker?”’


Reading shit like that is like watching a kid lie through his teeth when you already know the truth.

If you’re going to lie, lie convincingly or leave it to the professionals.

If W. Zaha was really good he would avoid any tackle made on him outside of a body check. Maybe look at some G. Best videos should give him some ideas.
The ping-pong man wants to look at S. Mathews philosophy on football as played by a top winger. Defenders in his day, 'specially full back took no prisoners.
Regards Crystal Palace supporters, I remember leaving Wembley '97, lowlife.
Also their present manager, he's only five years younger than me, can't he let go? Why some people think their indispensable I'll never know. Agree with him still working, just step back a little, advisory capacity say, sure it would do the club good.
Oh and looking at the photo Zaha is hold of George Baldock's shirt, could he be looking for a foul, looks 50-50 to me. Kidney punch for a shirt pull.;)

Yeah I noticed that as well Zaha held onto Baldock's shirt and set off running leaving his arm trailing as though he was being held and then threw himself on the floor. Of course the ref fell for it.
 
I demand rules against Institutionalised Whinging by the supporters of teams who fail to score a single goal against us , which as Hendo reminded us in the post match celebrations is a total of 9 so far . 😄 😄😂😂

I have a vague recollection of discussing this a few weeks ago and pointing out the time Klopp’s Liverpool took it in turns to hammer Wiilian. It was, I think, just after Mourinho’s second spell, when Wiilian was the stand out player and the Liverpool players just took it in turns to kick him into the air. To be fair to him, he just took it, got up carried on like it hadn’t happened. Each time.

I like many others thought Baldock would be taken off at HT.
Instead Wilder saw the problem and pushed help over to Baldock,maybe Berge was tucking in more.
