Blades and ex-Blades get a mention on a couple of posts from this website that focuses on Englishmen abroad who have influenced football in various countries ..

George Raynor - a giant amongst international managers. A journeyman footballer who made one first team appearance for the Blades in a County Cup match against Wednesday back in the thirties. Revered as a football GOD in Sweden. The SUFC Hall of Fame should really have an exhibit on this guy, he deserves a much higher profile in this country than he's got.

McCabe along with plenty of ex-Blades get a mention in this article ..

The 10 most influential Englishmen in Central European Football

Looking forward to the Portugual version. If Jimmy Hagan isn't number one then summats wrong. Brian Deane & Dean Saunders will also probably get a mention.

The Spanish version should include Billy Barnes who scored the winning goal for the Blades in the 1902 FA Cup Final and then went on to successfully manage Athletic Bilbao.

Any other ex-Blades who have made a significant contribution to the football of another country either as a player or manager?
