Individual predictions for 22/23

Quite a few prediction threads - but I thought it might be worth getting people's thoughts on the squad and how they expect the season to pan out.

It's only a bit of fun, but be good to see where everyone else feels it will pan out.

These are mine for next season.


Where we'll finish - 4th - but that's the most optimistic
FA Cup finish - Round 5
Our top scorer - Brewster
Our player of the season - Anel or Lowe
Our biggest disappointment - Tommy Doyle - hope i'm wrong, but with a lack of pre-season, I have this feeling he'll be back at City in January after failing to make the team.
Our surprise package - Think it will be Arblaster, reckon he'll be in the mix after January, with plenty of PL suitors.
Best opposition player - Sayyadmanesh at Hull

Our player of the season - Berge / Sharp (if Berge leaves)
Our biggest disappointment - Ciaran Clark / John Fleck. Khadra will disappoint if people think he's the second coming of MGW.
Our surprise package - Doyle / Arblaster. It'll be refreshing to see a young player with mobility in the middle of the park. Doyle also has a great passing range. And if Arblaster takes off like I think he can he could be a serious player.
Best opposition player - Sarr, Watford.

Our player of the season - Berge if he stays, 10 to 15 goals. Closely followed by Anel.
Our biggest disappointment - This will be the final season for many of the Wilder era stalwarts that are still here. (Fleck, Stevens, Bash)
Our surprise package - Arblaster will be in and around the squad by the end of the season.
Best opposition player - Twine, can also see Obafemi at Swansea being excellent this season.

Our biggest disappointment - Brewster, hope I'm wrong but I feel he may just be not as good as we hope he can be

We WILL win automatic promotion. The rest doesn’t really matter after that.

Where we'll finish - Heart says top 2, head says 3rd - 6th
FA Cup finish - 4th Round
Our top scorer - Brewster if he stays fit. Hoping for 15-20 from him if so. Billy to get 10+ would be nice.
Our player of the season - Ndiaye. Think he will push on from last season. Looks confident and seems to have better fitness already than last season where he regularly hit the wall around 70 minutes. He looks ready and will be a big influence in our attacking play
Our biggest disappointment - Not seeing JOC back with the squad. Hope I'm wrong and he can be brought back in towards the end of the season. for a "forget about the maths" moment...
Our surprise package - Oli McBurnie to score double figures from the bench
Best opposition player - Dont care... Let them worry about our players.

Our player of the season - Anel, but I think he'll miss a few games due to number of bookings he'll get.
Our biggest disappointment - McBurnie again.
Our surprise package - Arblaster
Best opposition player - I'll wait until I've seen a few games this season.
