I'm delighted for Billy, not least because I've got a fiver e/w at 66s on him for top scorer, but he isn't the answer. Let's just take whatever we can get for him and move on.

I'm not a manager knocker and always try to see the bright side but on this occasion I think you are right. We need to start planning for next season and I don't think Blackwell will get the backing from the fans any more. So if he is going to go let it be sooner rather than later.

This fear of losing has to be gotten rid of.

That planning involves getting a different manager in should Blackwell go. I'm no fan of what is happening, but I just don't see viable options. It seems that the board have gone back to having short arms and deep pockets, so I doubt we could attract O'Driscoll, and the only other candidate I can think of would be Chris Coleman.

I wanted him before Sornob got the job, but I'm starting to wonder if he's a bloke who needs cash to do things well. It's all well and good calling for the manager's head, but if there is nobody about to take over, especially when we are safe (more or less), sacking him/his walking would be a pointless manoeveur.

Agree, the sooner we get rid of Blackwell the less it will effect season ticket sales. Should the manager remain it will have a disastrous effect on sales but if he was removed before the early renewal deadline it would make a huge difference.
