I thought he had his best game for us that i have seen,he was getting stuck in and was also making "some" very good passes and if his shot had gone in instead of rattling the bar he would have been MOM.

He needs to show the same performance against Forest who will be a sterner test than Burton.

Keep it up Lee.

Agree, we need more of those sorts of shots from the edge of the area, y'know, the ones that always seem to go in against us. We never seem to do it, seems we prefer to pass it out onto the wing so we can whip a cross in to absolutely nobody. Having said that the second half was much better than the last few games, actually enjoyed the performance.

Strangely I thought the opposite. I thought he wasn't great last night. I think he's more Lampard (Chip passes) than Gerrard (ball never left the grass).

I think the difference between him and Coutts is that Coutts would take a quick one two before making a pass, give himself more time. Evans wants to go from A-Z a bit quicker.

Harsh I know but hey

I thought he was bloody superb v Villa and has been pretty decent overall (especially at home).
Last night, some great passes, too many floaty efforts out of play looking for a dream ball too. I think he's a really good signing and doing well but I reckon he'll divide opinion. Because he loves beating a man or two before passing, great when he's confident but he'll lose it plenty when he's not.

I like him, actually I think he's rejuvenated us a bit in the last 6 weeks- but as a player, definitely a wee bit of a tart

I didn't think he was the best tonight. Thought he took too many touches before giving an easy pass -slowing the pay down unnecessarily. Played better 2nd half but wasn't impressed in the 1st.

It's all about opinions mind and we all see the game differently.
That's how i saw it - not a great first half but very good second.

Thought he had a good game but think he's going to be one who divides opinion...was going to mention the 'M' word but I'll try and save the forum from another one of those threads. :)

I thought he had a good game, he seems comfortable in the role and his confidence is growing. Of the four signings I'm most impressed with him so far.

In fairness though I don't think we've seen enough of Leonard & Holmes yet to judge, and Wilson to me isn't at the standard we need just yet.

The bloke next to me was calling for him to be subbed after about 15 minutes, worst player since Dean Hammond apparently.

I thought he had a decent game but like with the Ipswich game he gave the ball away unnecessarily quite a few times. I also thought he was lucky to not get at least a yellow for the tackle that injured their player in the first 10 minutes although I’ve only seen it once, in real-time.

I really rate him ,have done from his first game at Norwich. Cant understand why he isn't on corners all the time ,his are fired in at pace , accurate and very difficult to defend ,but he only went on them when Duffy went off. I would have Duffy on the edge of the box and Evans on every one.

Bloke behind me wouldn't stop shouting rubbish at stevens claiming he is shite and no better than chris Hussey never opened his mouth about him again after he scored

it was a 50/50 tackle he would have been unlucky to get a yellow

Thought he was poor defensively first half and they were running through him in midfield. Maybe the tackle after 10 minutes affected him. Another referee may have cautioned him for that one. After half time along with the rest of the team having a half time b*llocking he looked much better simply because he was looking to move the ball forward at pace rather than sideways slowly. Work in progress but currently the best option along with Fleck and Duffy for games at Home.

Will be amazed if he makes it to the end of the season without being sent off.
"Amazed" a tad strong. Not surprised maybe. His tackling can be a bit rash at times in this new "can't tackle too hard chaps" mentality.
I quite like him mind you, bit of steel and nastiness combined with a good eye for pass and great set piece delivery. Not reight quick but not reight slow either...

He didn’t have a bad game and played some nice balls but he needs to stop forcing it all the time and be a bit more patient, I don’t mean slow or pedestrian, just patient.

As I say, I only saw it in real time but it looked like he missed the ball and took their player

Same way I saw it at the time, but as you say it was in real time and I was quite far away from it so what do i know!!

Best signing of Jan window, can really play a ball, has a tendency to look for a Hollywood ball at times that he needs to work on.

Doesn’t often tackle and when he does he seems to steam in and get booked also needs to work on.

7/10 from me.

He's a good player. Skillful, good with the ball at this feet, good defensively, can pick a pass. However, I think his natural game at the moment is to slow things down too much and be too cautious. He did that first half last night and we were poor. Second half, Wilder seemed to have told him to be a bit more dynamic and he moved the ball forward quicker, contributing to a much better team performance.

Like you read my mind.

Thought he looked tired in the second half and started making mistakes as a result. I like him and think he will only get better.

I like him very much too. My kind of player. But I'll stick with amazed, thank you :)
