Have there actually been any?

Not that I regret his sackking 1% but seriously, what's the difference?

I don't think there's been drastic improvements as yet Torrix, but, long term, if Speed is given time and money in january then just maybe we'll see the beginning of a new dawn!!!!!
It's not going to happen overnight, and, it's not going to be pretty at times, but, i for one am trying to stay positive and hope the long term future of the club is in good hands.

Is Ertl really a centre half? He was invisible yesterday in midfield and has been slowly vanishing since early season...

Where's the all action cult hero Palace fans talked of?

Well for me i think new managers should learn there trade at smaller clubs before getting a biggie ! .......... oh hang on thats just whats happening.
How the mighty have fallen eh McWobblegob? AMBITION MY ARSE !

well there are positives and negatives as you'd expect but he's stuck between a rock and a hard place because of hoofwells legacy, he'd like to turn things upside down but hasn't got the staff.. a couple of minus points are 1. i can't stand managers that play players out of position. perhaps he is experimenting who knows? plus i always worry about managers who think that full back is a position for redundant centre backs.. in the modern game where many teams play one up, fullbacks are auxilliary midfielders.. you have to be able to bomb up and down all day, not stand next to the centre backs discussing your share portfolio.. not playing slew was a big mistake IMO.. someone like brian clough would have put him straight in.. positives.. we keep winning just enough points to keep our heads above water.. for now.. if we don't have a big clear out soon we'll go down next year instead

The arrival of andy reid could bring a wave of fresh air.His shear presence on the pitch when he came on was massive, the other players have got to notch up a level to be on par with his qualities,so that alone is the only positive of the last 2 months.

Gary Speed needs to learn/grow up fast here.

1. Some players are getting a free ride ie Cresswell, Ertl, Nosworthy who I would prefer to shoot than see in a Blades shirt
2. After the Reid sub yesterday we were in charge for a good ten minutes then he removes a midfielder and we get overrun for the next 15.
3. He needs to advise Ward that he can't play play the ball through physical objects such as players from 1 yard and it might be advisable to try a get round that player/ nick a yard 1st
4. Do not at anytime allow Taylor to take a free kick or corner because he never gets back to his position in enough time circa 1st goal
5. and most importantly get a fucking formation that works for us. Ertl isn't a right sided centre midfielder. Lets build one to the strength of the players we actually have.

I believe in Speed but he needs to make some decisions now or his head is on the block. Unfortunately whatever legacy you want to believe Blackwell left us with, one of them is a team with no height, power or pace. The one thing he said he wanted to change when he joined us. I am still not really sure what Speed's legacy will be, because we are stuck in the middle of trying to play football and going direct. I would rather lose trying to play football

Depends on your level of expectation. So perhaps rather than question the improvements, enlighten us with what you actually expected after Blackwell.

Hm, would it be unreasonable to expect more than 9 goals after 14 games? Occasional signs of a team that knows what it is trying to do?

Not at all Lenners, we should be getting a lot more. But then again, if it appears that there are long term improvements being made then I can accept that we're not scoring so much just now.

However, to reduce our goal scoring I would then like to see us defending better, so concentrating our efforts defensively. Yet we're not doing that. But my issue defensively is that we're not getting a settled back four.

Creatively things have and are improving, along with the personnel that Speed is bringing in i'm not entirely unhappy
