But with Eddie Colquhoun
Promotion came soon
United
All together now

Not sure about the arriviste 'came'. To me it was alway 'Promotion soon'

Bertie Mee says to Bill Shankly, have you heard of the North Bank, Highbury?

He says, "no?, I don't think so, but I've heard of the Shoreham Agro"

Other versions around the 70s were:

Bertie Mee says to Bill Shankly, have you heard of Sheff Wednesdee

He says, "no?, I don't think so,

but I've heard of the S. U. F. C.

or

Bertie Mee says to Bill Shankly, have you heard of Sheff Wednesdee?

He says, "Yes,

they're in a mess

They're at the bottom of Division Three

There was also Cozy Powell's 'Na na na" which has a similar complicated lyrical stucture to Wendy's 'Hi Ho':-

We are the S U, S U F C
Na na na na na na na na

Whatever happened to the last line of the GCB? There used to be an additional "na na na na na na na, oo-ooo-ooh".
Always pees me off that the GCB song peters out to nowt.

Should finish with

oooooo to, ooooo to be,
oooooo to be a, Bladesfan
