Monthly or yearly. If you are on monthly I think it just rolls over. But if you are yearly you have to rejoin. In the UK I get the option with no live games. In Portugal I get the option to sign up for 130 euros and get live matches. So I'm going to sign up in Portugal and watch in UK with a VPN if needed.

Nice one thanks mate. Mine didn't seem to role over for some reason that's what confused me

So many of us will be using a vpn to stream games here. Same for all other championship teams. Cant see it lasting very long, the efl will clamp down quickly. Netflix worked out how to block vpn connections.Iv got sky govworking abroad though...Iam sure they will clamp down, Especially when people shout about what they do on forums.Il be surprised if it still works come xmas time. My advice fellow blades, sign up on the monthly option. Then you wont be too out of pocket if they clamp down on vpn's.

There is no monthly option for the streaming abroad service I believe....

I'm outside the uk at the moment, so when i click on Subscribe i see this:

T&C's
2.3. For match footage shown on a live basis (certain geographical territories only) not all Club matches will be available for viewing on a ‘live’ basis. This is due to, amongst other things, restrictions with television broadcasters. View the television broadcast schedule.

Does that mean that if you're in the UK with a Season pass you get Live matches as well or when you sign up do you see a different screen?

Is the idea that once the Sky games are decided on they will be unavailable on ifollow? I'm going to wait until September as I'm back home for most of August so should catch a game or 2 then.

You are quite right about VPN's. For a time Iplayer wasn't available on my VPN. The VPN provider fixed that for the time being. However I have a plan "B". I will switch to smart DNS. :)

I think you'll still have to pay for the whole year as there didn't seem to be an option to pay monthly for overseas

The Sky games should all be on ifollow for overseas users, from what i understand

Thanks, can watch Sky go as worst case. I'll get it bought in the next week or so.

Just wondering if anyone has subscribed to the new iFollow live stream service for expats?

I spend about half my time in the UK and half overseas. I've got an overseas IP address and postal address, but my credit card is a UK issued card. Just wondering if anyone had managed to register that way yet or whether it insists on using a foreign card?

If not I may have to take the plunge and see what happens.

Also, when I'm back in the UK and might want to watch the odd match I can't get too, once registered is it possible to watch in the UK, if I VPN back to my overseas office first so I have a non-UK IP address? Don't want to ask iFollow as I'm sure it'll spook them and they'll just bar me for trying to break their rules.

Cheers.

I'm connected to a VPN at the office in Italy. I've checked and I've got an Italian IP address currently (i.e. the VPN's IP).

However, when I go to the subscribe now page, I'm still seeing only the UK price. Probably a caching issue - will try a restart and see if that works:

Just done it. Though I don't live in the UK, my credit card is actually a pre-paid one issued in the UK. I constantly have problems with it, and I cannot switch to my local iTunes Store, as it recognises it as a UK card. However, with the iFollow service, it worked fine.

Still waiting on them to release the app though.

Wonder if someone can help, i am useless with technology like this.

Is there a way of being able to watch the games whilst living in the UK? And if yes how do you go about it?

Appriciate that there is already a thread on this but i cannot seem to find it!

I cant see this lasting long at all. Using a vpn did get me into the payment page for foreign subscribers. Dont wanna fork out £110 until i know it works ok. No way will you get a refund when they block vpn's. They are missing a trick by not offering pay monthly.

Yep, no issues getting in with a VPN but are they being crafty? - letting masses of UK residents pay the £110 and then BOOM! We've got your cash but we can't allow this to proceed.

There's an old saying 'you can't con an honest man'.

It's shit. Still taking the monthly payment but there's no new app- just the old player one and any videos since the end of the season ain't uploaded

You can access the new vids from the ifollow link on the SUFC mobile site.

All 4 new signings talking on there today.

Imagine a large proportion of the games will now be streamed elsewhere anyway, so I'm reluctant to part with any money before seeing what is/isn't available...

Agreed! Facebook will be teaming with closed streaming groups!

Will full match replays of the friendlies be available?

Can't see them cracking down on VPN use unless someone else tells them too.

Essentially they're not doing anything wrong and they're getting paid from the 1000s of fans using VPNs. ignorance is bliss and profitable in this instance..

I think that if you are going to go to the trouble of signing up for a vpn service and the £110 so that you can circumvent the rules (probably illegally) you might as well go the whole hog and wait to see what is streaming live for free anyway as there will be a much better chance of the games being available as there is an official feed already there.

Was speaking to a pig fan yesterday and he reckoned he had paid £110 for official streaming of away games in the UK... Not sure if his more technically literate son hadn’t used a vpn on the sly though and not told him.

Some of the most popular or free VPNs might not work but they can't all be blocked. VPNs frequently change IP addresses too.

I haven't signed up yet due to being extremely broke. Must admit I'm also curious if the games will be made available by fellow Blades on FB etc. Ill probably fork out anyway depending on my bank balance.

Anyone know if Radio Sheff will still be doing the match commentary or if it will be a different team?
