Which game was it where Bladesplayer had first 20 mins of the Pigs game on the live Comms, then switched to Barnsley for another 5 before finally getting the blades on. its been poor, this was my first season and the interviews are the same as they are on Radio Sheffield and if its not the main Live game on Radio sheffield then you get lumbered with that dullard Buchan filling all the dead air with emails and texts from people around the world just so he can say he's been on holiday there.

I have spoken with iFollow support and been told that the lack of archived matches is due to the migration to the new video player and site overlay and they will be gradually added/restored "over the next few weeks". Was told to email [email protected] if I want a more precise timeframe.

I made the point that I was unhappy at being charged at this time and they said address that and any other feedback to the email address as well.

Anyone else having issues playing the videos? Using a Samsung mobile and the screen just goes black when I press play. No indication that it is loading up or anything.

Blades player always worked well for me as well.

Further to my post above after talking to their support I should say that the few videos I can see do play OK for me, so you have a different problem there.

Cheers mate. I tried contacting their support via the live chat function but that wouldn't bloody work either! Not doing very well really.

Anyone from overseas signed up to the 'Live game' subscription? (£110 I think)
I expect that there will be a few naughty private Facebook groups out there next season.

I predict (not condone) that you get to see any EFL match via this method.

It was the live chat I used, and I got a reply straight away, guess it depends on who is there. He (assumed it was a guy given the name) did actually ask me at one point if I was getting a black screen so it sounds like they may know about the problem you're getting.

Maybe I am overreacting a bit, but I used to work in IT and if we'd done a migration like this, including not providing a service that people were actually still paying for, we'd have been sacked.

I was going to post the same. I worked for a big company that changed systems and migrated everything before it went live. It wasn't perfect but the principle was sound.

yep basic and sound principles - migrate it all and test on all devices before going live, provide regular updates before, during and after let people know what is going on.

I will be signing up but it will be outside the UK. However I am hoping to watch in the UK with a VPN.

You can access that option if you use a vpn as I've tried it. However you will need a non UK address and card. I'm not sure if it is actually illegal - maybe it's just against their t&c's and you will get booted if they find out.
I think it's a fantastic deal for ex pats at £110 for access to every efl game and not just united's games.

It would have been great if they offered an away game package for registered users of the club. Maybe sonethung for the future who knows?

My works pcs internet is run through our head office in Germany so I only have the option of the €130 package.

I've just paid by my credit card using my uk address and it says I can watch live matches

Erm.. Where is it said that you can watch the live matches only in UK?

It doesn't. Because of contractual reasons, live matches are only available for supporters who live abroad, and by definition are unlikely to be able to see their team live or watch them on Sky TV. However there are ways of making the IFollow application think you are abroad. You would expect IFollow to have at least some minimal checks in place. For instance you would need to use a foreign address and or bank account. From what Ldn Rd Blades has suggested, they will take payment from a UK credit/debit card, with a UK address. Of course no one can be sure what will happen until the live matches are actually streamed. At a guess I think you may have to use a VPN in the UK to make IFollow think you are abroad. I do something similar when I'm abroad to watch UK TV. If I try to access directly it tells me BBC Iplayer or ITV Hub are only available for viewers in the UK. Hope this helps.

It's unbelievable value at £2.39 per game to watch your team home and away.

You will benefit if you are one of the following...

A. Expat :)
B. On holiday :):):)
C. Full time blade :D
D. Part time blade :D
E. Glory hunter :fattwat:
F. Tight arse
G. Financially can make it/Work aholic :(
H. Woodworm ;)
I. From the dark side (Curious)
J. From the dark side (Jealous) o_O
K. ??? :tumbleweed:

Feel free to add :p

Is anyone still having problems with ifollow? I can hear the videos but can't see them on Chrome, they won't play at all on IE, and even though I received an email to download the App, it still doesn't exist.
Not only teething problems but toothless.

it's working for me using Firefox, but still only a proportion of the video archive content is there. I'm waiting until it is all back and then am going to ask for a refund for the months the stuff was unavailable. The video quality seems worse than I remember it from the old system. Not impressed at all with this outfit.

If you can't get through on chat have you sent them an email? I posted the address earlier in this thread.

I'll be patient and give them a bit more time. They might be collecting funds first before they fix it....

T&C's
2.3. For match footage shown on a live basis (certain geographical territories only) not all Club matches will be available for viewing on a ‘live’ basis. This is due to, amongst other things, restrictions with television broadcasters. View the television broadcast schedule.

Does that mean that if you're in the UK with a Season pass you get Live matches as well or when you sign up do you see a different screen?

That was the same for me in the U.K. With a Germany IP address.

I think it only gives you the €130 option in you haven't got a U.K. Ip, I'm assuming you'll only get the £40 option if you do.

Great!

For info, it allowed me to use my UK address and Credit card details to sign up

Excuse me if this has already been asked but does anyone know how the service is billed? It is £45 up front for the season or is it billed monthly like Blades Player was?
