It's a poll. Adkin's keeps publically telling fans players are playing for a new contract, I feel that's a bit counter productive and demotivating.

Counterproductive? Probably tells us more about the mentality of our players if it is. If they can't get motivated to earn a living they can jog on

Wrong. We used to have players who played for much more than a contract, they played for pride, for the shirt and god forbid, the fans who cheered them on. If they can't play for a mere contract then they can fuck off. Which I hope they do anyway because I despise them.

They deserve all the contempt they get and much more.

Is there no way we can employ our players and manager on a "pay for success" basis? Why can't we just pay them all a normal wage, with a bonus of say 100 grand each for promotion but nothing if we don't go up?

I would be interested to hear what Neil Warnock would make of our squad. Read in interview with him in friday's Rotherham adveriser and he says of their squad that he has the experience to tell (can't argue with that, he's sussed a lot of the tossers out at the many clubs he's managed) and he knew straight away that those players were giving everything.

Why would they want a new contract? They'd have to play in front of 20,000 of us big bad scary monsters every week. Why do that when the little darlings can go and have a nice time playing in front of crowds of only 2000 or so in league 2 or the conference.

He's hardly going to say anything differ tho is he. He has to get them on side and slagging them off at the start is counterproductive.
