If you were appointed to the club board, what’s the first thing you’d want to do?

Tell any player who is in the last 12 months of their contract to sign a new deal or risk being left out of the team. Oh, silly me, that's happening already!

Ask WEEARZ MUNEH.
Delete Dazza's twitter account.
Make a little Snekkeh sound towards Bettis.
Declare my undying love for Hecky.
Say "I knew Wilder was reyt".

Hire Stuart Webber to handle the clubs football operations and leave him too it

  • Have my rivals purged

  • Order the summary execution of all football agents

  • Hand sole control over footballing matters to the manager and coaching staff within the constraints of the budget.

  • Have the tongues removed from anybody who mentions the words "director of football".

  • Lock the turnstiles at precisely kick-off time to teach the wankers who roll out of the boozer with two minutes left a lesson.

  • Issue lifetime stadium bans to all those who purport to fuck off on 85 minutes then congregate at the bottom of the Kop like dopey cunts for the remainder of the match.

On a serious note, hire a director of football who's job is to overlook scouting, signing players/selling players, handling contracts, bridging the gap between the development team and first team. It's what general managers do in the NHL leaving Hecky to be a coach. His job is the training and match days and that's it. The problem happens when DOF sign players who don't fit a system and the manager has to find a way to fit a square peg into a round hole. DOFs work when they know a system and manager inside out and only scout players who will fit. Brentford are a perfect example of this. Savvy transfers in, sold for a profit with the money reinvested, and a continual cycle of finding the next player who can be sold on for great profit. We're trying to do that but so far we've sold Ndiaye for profit (arguably less than we should have gotten, but it was still profit), and will make a loss on Berge.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Slimane and Traore. If we intend to do the same with Anel then we'd need to sell him next summer to make any profit before he become the next out of contract problem. Thankfully he's under contract until 2026.

Send anyone who is above average on loan to Beerschot.

On second thought, never mind.

Book a flight to Silicon Valley, go and see a couple of Billionaires that I know, paint a glowing picture of the club and what a great investment it would be.
