For me Britt Assombalonga - Divison top scorer last season and still only 21 and Peterborough a main rival next season.

Why would he be out of our price range when we allready have money available before Harry goes. And would I'm sure cost double the 2 million! Great player admittedly, but out of our price range.
Edit: I think I'd spend it on a couple of strikers; Stevie May and Billy Sharp.
Ched Evans.

Not too bad a shout with Baldock,as I don't think he got much of a look in at Hoof ball Hammers.I wouldn't spend the full £2 million, but Sam Baldock is who I would go for. 24 Goals last season and would be a big statement to other teams in this League.
He's basically the forward equivalent of Maguire so if he'd cost more we're underselling Maguire aren't we?
I'm not having Assombalonga valued at £5 million.Very good striker in league one, and maybe, just maybe,at championship level aswell.Assombalonga would command over £5m and would only move to a higher division, so that's a no!
Difficult to say for £2m, I've always championed the Sharp signing as I truly believe he is the best of the available and plausible options. If you are against the sharp signing, someone such as winnal, mooney or Craig Davies would be my choices.

Reasons for him not been valued at £5 million are:1)apart from 4 appearances for watford and not scoring for them, thats the only time he's been in the championship:2)He's only had one season in league 1,albeit scored 23 goals in 43 matches but still only one season, and 3)Maguire has played 4 matches in the championship, plus England U21 matches in which he has played in,Maguire goes to prem league(not yet)for between £2 to £4 million.Assombalonga to a league 1 club for £5 million, not a flamin chance.
I want us to sign him while we are in this league, but their is no way in this world is he worth £5 million.
Points taken on board blader.I think we could get him for £2million PLUS ADD ONS and i wouldn't say it was superb 1 in 2 games at league 1 level when thats all he's done in his career but he'd do for us right now.Reasons he IS worth £5m+:
1) he is a prolific striker = gold dust
2) he is very young
3) he has a lot of years left on his contract
4) he just is good!
5) he is a striker!!
I realise 1 and 5 are the same but what the hell of a difference that makes. Crap strikers go for millions these days, good young strikers cost a pretty penny. He cost Peterborough £1.5m and he has had a superb season, how much do you think he we could cost? Peterborough would want a real profit to let him go. I'm afraid to say mate £5m would be a steal for Assombalonga. Especially whenyou consider how well they did with dwight Gayle so recently.
