First of all this isn't meant to be intended as a doom and gloom post, just got me thinking after "the boot on the other foot" post by Woodwardfan - in a parallel universe what would have happened if we hadn't have gone up?

It'd have been hard to keep hold of JoC and Fleck I'd imagine, and there'd probably be a few clubs sniffing around Norwood possibly Egan/Stevens and of course would we have been able to keep hold of Tufty? I always imagined someone like Palace coming in for him as on social media a few of their fans seem to be admirers of him.

Thankfully now we don't need to worry but after the Millwall game I admit I did worry thinking that if we didn't go up this year then it wouldn't happen for a long time because I thought it'd be inevitable that higher placed clubs would come in for Tufty and our better players.

Never in doubt really was it, Dem Blades eh?

The court decision would have been make or break and could have seen us managerless etc etc, thankfully, that is less likely to have an effect now whichever way it goes. Strangely, I would have fancied us in the play-offs this season, if ever we had the squad and management team to do it it would have been this year. That has been shown after Villa, Millwall and a few other times this season.

We have had enough years in that parallel universe. I think all know what it looks like.:(

Fleck doesn't even get international recognition for a tinpot nation.

I don't think there'd be many Prem suitors in for him, if any at all.
It might not have taken a Prem club to take him off our hands though. You know what happens when dem ‘big’ clubs come calling. I think Fleck will get his mojo back next season BTW.

It would have put more importance on the court case. Now we have got promoted the Prince and McCabe could sell out now and get some of their cash back.

The only player that I think we would have sold had we not got promoted would be Jack.

We'd have been discussing Derby having both tiers of the Lane end or not?

West Ham bid for him in January though, during a period many on here were questioning him, so it’s too unlikely.
