If the owners decided to take a new direction

Dont think they will. But you dont have to be a football manager to interpret the stats.
You can be practically illiterate and see we are very high up the table. One team has picked up more points than us this season, and they've only picked up one more point than us.

Absolutely brain dead to change the manager given what he's done with a weak squad.

Fuck me this already.

Wilder only managed to complete half of the rebuild yet has us level 2nd somewhat miraculously.

Embarrasses me reading stuff like this because the bloke undoubtedly reads these forums.
Yeah true it has been miraculous. Seemed do a similar thing before got us to 9th in the PL then fell off a cliff and fucked off.

One wouldnt mind but for four seasons now CW cant find decent strikers who are not injury prone/prance around being additional centre halves. Give me a Keith Edwards goal hanger who could score anyday.

Decent strikers cost ££ which we haven't had. Probably why he's been shopping in the bargain bins.

We'd need to get in the prem for a start. I'd be totally up for shithousing Wilder just like Southampton did with Adkins IF we manage to get up this season.

I didnt say change the manager now - just pointing out his very big weakness. And he's had it for a number of years. Our defence is now shipping goals and weve scored two in the last three games and got one point against our peer teams. This isnt Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool weve played it is Burnley. Sunderland and West Brom.

If the owners decided that they want a top to bottom change who would you like to see come in as manager.

No more Sheffield/ Yorkshire only managers.

I’d like to think they would look at:
My no 1 target, Edin Tersic- young manager. Attacking style 4-3-3.
🐽

Danny Rurl.

Very silly post.

I agree that Wilder has done enough to be backed in January….. but if we lose at Watford & then only draw v Norwich …. I would not be surprised if the new owners get itchy fingers on the trigger. I honestly do not think they will be patient & think we’ll just risk the play offs or build for next season. That is just not how US Business mentality works….its bloody ruthless - I’ve seen it in my company all too often.
I've worked for the Americans, and believe me they are fucking ruthless! If it's not working there not afraid to change it, they don't do... "well we'll leave it a little longer it might work out " results or your fucking gone pal👍

If you're bright enough to make the millions these guys have, you're not stupid enough to sack the best asset the company has.

One worrying aspect is that we’ve lost 3 to the 2 and 4th placed teams

We have, but Leeds lost to Sunderland and Burnley as well.

Let's see how we stand when we have played all of that group twice. It's honours even v Sunderland, and we have a chance to correct things against Leeds and Burnley in the return fixtures.

I still don’t rate Wilder highly. I don’t like his signings or style of play. I respect the points total, and that he’s made us robust. but i wouldn’t be upset if we changed him for a more cultured manager.

I think Moore as a signing is exactly why he shouldn’t be trusted to rebuild. Never been a good footballer. There is a decent chance that he assembles a team of averageness, again. He’s a proven record of wasting money on average players, i’m not sure he’s the man to establish this club in the prem with the new owners money. I would trust him to get us there, as long as he isn’t allowed to sign players on 3 yr contracts. No way i would keep him long term.

Agree with this I’m afraid, shame because of what he’s given the club but his limitations can’t be denied.

When I see a daft post, I like to give a daft answer.

Wayne Rooney or Frank Lampard!

Nah I think of - a Thomas Frank but sadly I know he’d fail, as he doesn’t get the “Blades Way n Sheffield grit” needed

Thomas Frank wouldn’t even consider us and why would he? He’s looking for Man Utd he holds a good stock value that said we can’t afford him and the usual way here is that we thrive on being the underdog so an unknown or unfancied manager should be our next appointment not that I am suggesting a change at all.

They may insist on a new coach with an idea on how to change tactics. CW is a more than able manager but weak as a coach….he won’t do it, but should look at adding to/changing to the coaching staff.

Leeds didnt lose to Sunderland. They were beating them 2-1 at the Stadium of Light until their keeper had a brain fart on 97 minutes.

What about that Slavisa Jokanovic?
