I've always been a club over country football fan, but the two fixtures just aren't comparable. England win tonight we have a real chance to win a world cup.
Blades win and we're top of the league, but with a lot of fixtures left to play.

I've long since given up expecting to see either us or England win anything meaningful in my lifetime but I'd love to proved wrong.

If you gave me the option of us winning the FA Cup or England winning the WC, then I'd go us every time.

However, our result today won't define our season one way or another.

England beating France with the other results this week, mean we have a real chance of winning the WC.

I always put United over England. I would prefer to see United win the FA Cup then England win World Cup for example.... however... if United don't win today, its not the end of the season. If England don't win, we're out. So, for 1 day only, I'll choose England

Good question.

To be honest I'm not as bothered what United do against Huddersfield, sounds bad doesn't it?
but in reality individual results are irrelevant as long our goal is achieved and that is to gain promotion back to the PL this promotion..
Also I'm in my 50's and have seen England lose (often unluckily or on penalties) so many matches when we've faced a team at a similar level.

So personally, given a choice to choose the results for 1 game I'd rather England win.

Of course I'd much rather United gain promotion than see England win the World Cup, no contest.
