Billy will get more slack due to the obvious reasons of Blade, Captain and 50+ goals in the last two seasons.

We need a change up front and preferably to sign a striker or two. It's as simple as that for me.
 
I don't get any pleasure from this - but I said this months ago...3 strikers, Clarke, Sharp, Hanson - they're all too bleeding old for this level of football! How obvious does it have to be? Put your Bladeyness aside for a minute and just look at obvious facts.

OK so they can all play a bit part - same with Evans and Lavery - but FFS - get a pair of decent strikers in who can do it at this level.

Brooks is a prospect. But he can't do it by himself.

I wouldn't say they are complete write offs due to age e.g. Glenn Murray had a good season at Brighton.

An older less mobile striker needs a younger runner alongside him or in midfield if he's playing up top alone.

I'd keep Sharp as he's a poacher and could get us some important goals, Clarke might be able to play a part, but Hanson needs to move on.

Hopefully the board will give Wilder a few quid to fund the new strikers we desperately need.
 
Cheds been a million times better than any of the other strikers in his brief appearances

Every time we lose, it's the same old bed wetters that can't get on here quickly enough to spout the same old shit and slag sufc off, init? Even when we were winning last season DB couldn't resist spouting that Hanson was a donkey, only scored one goal, etc, etc, etc. Embarrassing.

I come on this board after every game, wether we win, lose or draw. Derrrrrrrrrrrr. Difference is, my first thoughts aren't to denigrate the club in the same way a Pig fan would. Unlike some of the chief bed wetters we all know.

But Hanson is a donkey isn't he? He was right.

If you love your club you might take one or other ways of showing it. Some don't criticise anything - a bit like not taking the prophets name in vain - because it feels like they are being unfaithful in some way or disloyal. Others criticise too much because they are fearful and want the best, but they overreact and see every slip up as a crisis. Some in the middle say what they see and will be both right and wrong about some things.

I'm ok with where we are at tbh. I didn't expect much different. We've got the makings of a good team and will be ok but we need to strengthen in attack especially.

It will come.
 
I'm very happy for Billy to be anonymous if his shots are on target when the chance occurs. They're not.

Leon presses well enough, but for some reason those excellent first time shots from last year have evaporated.

Evans and Brooks have the confidence to try things, and as a result have created more chances in their short time on the pitch. Both brought good saves from Etheridge tonight.

Repeatedly bringing our best performers on when we are losing just puts pressure on them. If you don't think Ched can play a full game then maybe play him in the first part of the game, perhaps giving us a lead.

Against the best teams I would like to see us in 3-4-2-1 with Brooks and one of Duff, Samir or Caolan behind Ched. I think bringing Billy on fresh when defenders are tiring may also give him that extra yard of space that he's not getting at present.

Our current side are trying to play through teams like last year, but we don't have the time, the pace or the touch to do it and repeatedly lose the ball in midfield. We may be OK with this side against Barnsley and Burton but we need to move it forward more quickly and have more vision against sides like Cardiff and Boro.

The learning curve may be steep but The Magic will Return.

Funny thing tonight was that I was so pleased to get iFollow and the RS commentary working perfectly together that losing didn't seem to hurt as much!

You're the one giving it the massive knee jerk with these daft claims, no one is panicking, no one is calling for Wilder's head, no one is "screaming blue murder" we're just looking for improvements following a defeat. What's wrong with that? Do you not think Wilder is doing that exact same thing right now?

I think we had a good look at what we need to be better at tonight.

It's right that Wilder gives the players that got us here a chance but he can be ruthless too. Let's see what he has up his sleeve but we need more up front, or it will be a long season
