I’m a bit surprised Leicester are up there but when I did after about 16 it was getting a bit tough.

My ideal Premier League wouldn’t include that lot from across the city either.

Can’t really argue with that. There’s a case for Ipswich and Norwich and maybe a couple of others but that 20 is as good as any. For neutrals, you have to include Wednesday for the Sheffield derby.

Harsh on Norwich with their crowds and Ipswich with their Uefa cup win but Blackburn are one of the few clubs to win The Premiership so be equally harsh leaving them out. Birmingham in my opinion shouldn't be considered simply as they have never won the FA Cup or The League and their attendances are hardly huge.

True to form they’ll be voting in their droves, staying up through through the night repeatedly hitting their keyboards.
This time next week they’ll have replaced Arsenal at the top, therefore making it a mockery and useless exercise.

By that measure we only just squeak into 4th from bottom ....... by 40 points. Booooo. Wilder and Knill out!

It's good we get in the top 20 under either of the measures in this thread. I prefer the original list as that gives weighting to a more contemporary view of which are the biggest clubs ie excluding tripe like Bolton.

Well my favourite premier League is next season's where everybody (aberrations accepted) has got there not by history, perception, fans favourites, biggest attendances, or simply because more of their fans voted in it but by how the team performs on the pitch.

Must admit I voted for Ipswich. Not because they’re a particularly big club because that’s not what it’s about.

Tbf Blackburn have a great history. Not the biggest but a historical traditional club.

Just to chuck this in, could do 2 lists one listed as top flight (up to 1993) & the other as premier league. The latter would contain clubs like Palace & Watford who would be nowhere near the other league but have spent more time in the PL than us.
