You asked.......??I asked who made the decisions and a shrug of shoulders was the answer. I have always believed that the manager should have a big say on who we sign

My ITK who knows the players in the last 10 yearsYou asked.......??
That 9 players have already agreed to join us. I assume they were verbal agreements if none or just a few had signed a pre-contract. Wonder if they are still joining us?
Oh yes, those 9 are already at the club that will be out of contract hoping for renewals.
The prince is a big fan of Wilder's, he used to stand on John Street cheering him on back in the seventies and loves Blazing Saddles. Although he thought Willy Wonka was a bit noncey. If Wilder signs up, will he be a McCabe appointment or a joint decision with Prince £1Land?
I think we all know that answer.
Turmoil with a new name but the same masters of illusion.

This is why I think the best time to sack a manager is before Xmas so that the new manager can plan the summer recruitment from January
I must say I was having doubts about Adkins by Xmas but a December sacking would have been really entrepreneurial !!
I know that's not what you're saying Silent but what KM needs to do is make a couple of good moves that get him in front of the game rather than fire fighting all along.

This is an interesting comment because who chooses the players we sign? The Manager? Or others? If it is the latter it may make it understandable why we keep getting it wrong.
Hammond cost Adkins his job. he made him look stupid for selecting him.He won't be, McCabe won't sign Hammond

And Clough leaving Sammon behind was like selling a car with a kipper in behind the heater.Hammond cost Adkins his job. he made him look stupid for selecting him.

2. they were, as Danny_Blade says, already here and had merely agreed new terms, in principle
He won't be, McCabe won't sign Hammond
Woolford signed a 2 year contract at the start of the season.I imagine Hammond and Woolford are long gone
We're getting Taribo West on a free and Tonton Zola Makokou.
Over-complication in my opinion. It's the manager. We are not Real Madrid.
Yes there is a technical committee but any manager has to run it by fair means I.e. force of argument, get the right rubber stamps placed. Clough by-passed it by foul means apparently.
I agree with the theory. I don't think SUFC follow simple easy procedures.
Woolford signed a 2 year contract at the start of the season.
He isn't going anywhere.
If you really examine that thought, you wouldn't know.
The "Technical Board"? Whoever they are? I think they are just playing a really old version of Football Manager and we can expect the arrival of Freddy Adu any day now.
In April 2010 I was watching Middlewood Rovers u12s play Aston u12s and I was talking to David Frain's brother John that evening. He said to me "One day Chris Wilder will be Blades manager!". He got it right!I was told 2 or 3 months ago that Adkins was on his bike and Wilder would replace him. When I passed on this info on here I was told by all the experts (probably those who can see the 'bigger' picture) that it was a load of old pony!
Ramon Calliste is waiting in the wings.
