I was told last month

That 9 players have already agreed to join us. I assume they were verbal agreements if none or just a few had signed a pre-contract. Wonder if they are still joining us?

Oh yes, those 9 are already at the club that will be out of contract hoping for renewals.

When asked in his last interview, about anyone signing pre-contract agreements, Adkins stated that nobody has.
Which means one or more of the following:

1. he's not party to who signs
2. they were, as Danny_Blade says, already here and had merely agreed new terms, in principle
3. he was not being truthful
4. he knew he was on his bike and knew that the 9 agreed would be yesterdays toilet paper

If Wilder signs up, will he be a McCabe appointment or a joint decision with Prince £1Land?

I think we all know that answer.

Turmoil with a new name but the same masters of illusion.
The prince is a big fan of Wilder's, he used to stand on John Street cheering him on back in the seventies and loves Blazing Saddles. Although he thought Willy Wonka was a bit noncey.

This is why I think the best time to sack a manager is before Xmas so that the new manager can plan the summer recruitment from January

I must say I was having doubts about Adkins by Xmas but a December sacking would have been really entrepreneurial !!

I know that's not what you're saying Silent but what KM needs to do is make a couple of good moves that get him in front of the game rather than fire fighting all along.

I was told that McCabe and another board meme we did want him out early doors but were outvoted

This is an interesting comment because who chooses the players we sign? The Manager? Or others? If it is the latter it may make it understandable why we keep getting it wrong.

Over-complication in my opinion. It's the manager. We are not Real Madrid.

Yes there is a technical committee but any manager has to run it by fair means I.e. force of argument, get the right rubber stamps placed. Clough by-passed it by foul means apparently.

LYDON I think they should learn some courtesy at the lane , that Turkish bloke in reception has been there since Monday and 5 hours today . His he a refugee or that other bloke who was in the running . Masters of illusion most definitely

UTB.

And Clough leaving Sammon behind was like selling a car with a kipper in behind the heater.

I agree with the theory. I don't think SUFC follow simple easy procedures.

If you really examine that thought, you wouldn't know.

When you look at SUFC and the model it operates, with an Academy and all the trappings of a club many times its stature, would it really shock you if you found we had some Newcastle United when Dennis Wise was there type system? I would be the least shocked person in the world because we seem to have written the book on how to take something and really, really make a dogs breakfast of it.

The "Technical Board"? Whoever they are? I think they are just playing a really old version of Football Manager and we can expect the arrival of Freddy Adu any day now.

Ramon Calliste is waiting in the wings.

I was told 2 or 3 months ago that Adkins was on his bike and Wilder would replace him. When I passed on this info on here I was told by all the experts (probably those who can see the 'bigger' picture) that it was a load of old pony!
In April 2010 I was watching Middlewood Rovers u12s play Aston u12s and I was talking to David Frain's brother John that evening. He said to me "One day Chris Wilder will be Blades manager!". He got it right!

I was watching Jennifer Lawrence in some film and said One Day I'll give her the best 30 seconds of her life. I'm hoping I get it right also.
