Recently visited on your way to Shrewsbury no doubt. There is a Bramhall Lane in Stockport though......
.. please learn to spell Bramall Lane correctly. We are the city's leading club afterall! View attachment 39737
This is something I don’t understand tbh. I also find it frustrating and very unprofessional. I don’t know how it can happen if editorial checks are in place. But maybe they aren’t and that’s the problem?.. please learn to spell Bramall Lane correctly. We are the city's leading club afterall! View attachment 39737
You've shamed me into making a donationMight be just me, but if I read a story about a fundraiser for a child with a congenital heart defect, the first thing I do usually isn’t to attack the spelling of the article. Not from the sports desk, should have been picked up by someone, but it’s the Sheffield Star not The Times.
That’s nonsense mate, sorry. All newspapers should set high standards.Might be just me, but if I read a story about a fundraiser for a child with a congenital heart defect, the first thing I do usually isn’t to attack the spelling of the article. It's piss poor mate, and the fact it has happened on an important story makes it worse as it has detracted from the message.
Unbelievable what's happened to The Star. It was once one of the best selling local papers in the country. It's a piss poor attempt at a publication these days. I suspect many of the journalists from days gone by would be embarrassed at what has happened to it (and yes, trends and technology are to blame, but so are years of mismanagement).

That's funny.Par-for-the-course for that shit rag. I could eat alphabet soup and shit out better journalism.
The journo probably read this sign...

The mask is slipping![]()
If the article had been printed in 1787 you might almost be correct. So nonny nonny to thee, sir.I thought we went over this and Bramall is actually a misspelling of Bramhall.
It should actually be Bramhall Lane because the land around it was owned by the Bramhall family.
So the Star is being historically correct. So well done Sheffield Star and booooo to all the pedants slagging it off
Sheffield Star by far the worst paper around
