Only twice seen us promoted straight back after relegation. 1981-2 and 88-9. From 4th and 3rd divisions respectively.
Never from 2nd to top division.

I think you'll find there's always been a loathing but this season yes, it is more pronounced. I think what upsets many folk is that it can go almost 2 seasons with no fans and still make money, showing how ludicrous the money on offer is.

Has it ever happened? Nah.

For a while the average was 4/5 years, more recently 13 so overall about 7/8 seasons. If we stick with Sir Alex Wilder might be nearer the former than the latter but IMHO it's a rebuild job.
