Elland Rd 1987 😆
Managed to go at the last minute, stood on the Geldred end on my own, kept my gob shut and was ok, found it difficult when Philliskirk scored at the opposite end.
My first visit to Elland Rd was mid sixties when we drew 2-2 against a very tough and talented Leeds. The Geldred was then an open terrace and their “Kop” was the scratching shed opposite.

Nathan Blake
One of my favorite ever players. I remember when he first came he looked so much better than what we had up top and yet had come from div 3!

Had we signed him earlier we'd have definitely stayed up that season. The remaining strikers were an ageing Bobby Davison and Alan Cork, Aidy Littlejohn and Jostein Flo who was the pick of the bunch. But Blake had pace, strength, power. Very similar to Lys Mousset.

Once met him, along with Littlejohn, and he was an arrogant cunt.
Littlejohn was a lovely guy.

Funny you should say that.

I remember going to watch Scunthorpe play Cardiff in the early 1990s at Glanford Park.

It was the day Cardiff won the title or confirmed promotion, or something like that, and the ground was 3/4 full of Cardiff fans.

Blake played that day.

We were sat next to a guy who said he'd waited for the players to arrive before the game, and said Blake was a right cunt when he requested an autograph.
