Why did he go off then?

Daft decision.

Can see why the gaffer's signed him and why the gaffer starts him in certain games. He's a good manager our Chris, knows abit about footie.
Just needs to get to grips with these substitution things n were there.

For all the flack gone have way regarding his ability, I commented to Jnr earlier that now he's in a decent footballing side, it's bringing out a better player within him.

Mom. Excellent in every appearance so far. Technically proficient. It must be a dream to be his strike partner when he plays like that.

Almost scored the header that came back off the inside of the post, then Billy tapped it in.
Agree Madine gives a different dimension that we didn’t have before.
Will be interesting to see what Hogan brings to the mix, Surely he’ll get a subs appearance against Boro.

Another thing with him going off, as they got desperate, crosses and corners would be more important. You've lost a 6'4" player and replaced with a player much shorter.

His performance might slip under the radar tonight with Sharp getting a hatrick but what a player.

Had a hand in the first two goals and was a real handful for the Villa defence. Get him signed on permanently!
Absolute quality, cracking game from him and looks like he's building his match fitness

He played well, the defenders don’t like his physicality. He was unlucky not to score himself on the 2nd.

Could do with a goal though.

He had a great game and unfortunate his header for billy's second didn't go in.

He did end up in his arse a lot so perhaps he's still finding his strength from not playing for so kong. He'll be a vital cog come end of season Especially in big games/play off's

Early days and entirely dependent on what divisions both clubs are in...but how much would Cardiff realistically offload him for, given they signed him for 6million or whatever it was?

Why did he go off then?

Daft decision.

Against Swansea, Wilder got hammered for not making substitutions quick enough when players were clearly knackered. There’s a good case in asking why Duffy didn’t come on instead of Cranie but I don’t think we can complain about taking off an exhausted player who’s barely played in the last nine months, especially when 3-0 up.

Needs to cut out the diving. But he was otherwise really good yesterday till he began to tire, and showed exactly why we brought him in.

He reminds me of Rob Hulse.
Powehouse, in a few weeks when he can play 90min he will be AWESOME by the side of Sharp.

That's probably only his 2nd or 3rd start in 12 months, he won't have played with the tempo we play in either so there's no way he was going to last 90 mins. Given the scoreline at the time, it was a no brainer substitute, particularly given the fact a lot of people would have started Didsy in front of him anyway.

I thought he held the ball up very well and brought players into the game with good touches. A darn nuisance as well love him or hate him and as people have said, they were probably relieved when he went off.

He tired .which is understandable with the lack of game time he's had all season . Saw him turn round after one of many times he was fouled and say to Mings you meant that; runt
Well looked like runt
