I have to say i have been a bit pessimistic of late questioning one or two things including not being confident of a win last night, i have also been worried about our lack of goals from other departments and to relient on ched to get goals and him not always scoring against better sides. Well all that was put to bed last night with 5 different scorers including ched beating promotion chasing notts county 5-2. I have been critical of us sitting on 1-0 leads of late so i was very happy to see us still attacking even at 3-0 in the first half and 4-1 in the 2nd. I know this is along way from over but this win give us a massive boost and maybe has sent a message to the chasing pack that we aren't done yet.

From a very happy blade happy to admit he was wrong to think we had given up.

I'm pretty confident that the players would never "give up" they may suffer a loss of form, bad luck, injuries etc but they wouldn't actually "give up"...........the fans on the other hand..

Which is why you're a cut above; honest humility is useless if we don't use it - top stuff!!

'Some of the fans on the other hand'...but I concur wholeheartedly :p

UTB!

True I like the Blades to prove me wrong.

It has felt like the wobble was well and truly on but last night was a result I was not expecting. I thought a draw might of been best to expect on current form but so happy with that result.

Wednesday dropping points was the sweetener.

This.

I fully expected to be 3 points behind by COP last night, the fact that we are actually 2 points up is absolutely bloody brilliant.

Now if only Wendy can do us a favour and drop some more points before we play Chessie, the ball will be firmly in our court...

"I like being proven wrong" he said through clenched teeth.

I am counting on the win at Notts being abberation and believeing that their generally appalling recent away form will continue at Orient. Draw for me.

(Incidentally them taking 4 points off us in the Derbies is bloody annoying. If it had gone the other way we would be 8 points clear of them and getting the champagne on ice...)

Does Evan's goal against Notts County count as an important goal against one of the better sides, or do Notts County not count, like Chesterfield, Colchester etc?;)

We could play that game all day, just off the top of my head I can think of the following games where we were in total control and should have seen the win out but didn`t

Wednesday (H)
Orient (A)
Exeter (H)
Oldham (H)

9 points dropped, 7 of which were in the last 5/10 mins.

And the Oldham debacle was probably directly responsible for us losing at Walsall. We scored 2 goals there against one of the lowest conceding sides in the division, but lost because of our defensive frailties, many of which were incurred as a result of the red cards against Oldham.

The Orient one was most annoying as it was in the 6th minute of 5 minutes of injury time and it was caused by an appalling mistake from Simonsen (also because as the clock ticked over the 5 minutes I was minute what a nice glowing journey home I would have on London Overground - that was snatched away from me!).

I highlighted the Wednesday ones though as that those 3 points dropped would have been worth 6 at this stage.

It was an important goal against a good side away, one of the points to the post " i am happy to be proven wrong "
