... because of YOU we were totally embarrassed by Wednesday, they just simply WALKED through our midfield, because of YOU we lacked passion and determination and because of YOU, this club is being made to look stupid.

You're a disgrace to this club!! Get lost!!!

So the players take no responsibility whatsoever??

Who was on the pitch???

I always thought it was the players that played the game.

The players have to take their share of the responisbility, but they didnt select the formation that was so poor in the first half, they werent the ones saying its another game and only three points. When all is said and doe Robbo has failed(again) at the most important moment to us fans. He goes home with his fat pay packet we all get the mick taken out of us. As for the owls, well fair play to them, they deserved it today.

When players can't control a ball, pass it to one of our players or just can't defend as they should do, or show little commitment, is that ALWAYS the managers fault?

I'm not trying to defend his tactics at all and agree that he got it wrong in the first half but.....

I think if we can't get the basic skills right we have no chance.

no passion, again. robson has to go. stead on the bench again, not used. 4-5-1 doesnt work, as proved again. to go into a derby match and sit back and let them play is ridiculous.

players are to blame on some point but its down to the manager to get them geered up for the game. what are they doing in training if they cant control a ball, why are they even playing if the cant do the basics? robson picks them.

noticed dj's crawled out the woodwork.

They got it right last year most of them

Players still need instructions, and motivation.

what sort of manager plays 1 up front in a derby game...!?

Thought piggys deserved the win as they showed us up on passion, determination, basic skill and effectiveness

A few weeks ago we were saying 4-5-1 was the ideal thing to do away from home. Perhaps now we will buy another central midfield player.

fair enough if your going down south for a difficult game

But local derby against piggys at hillsb*rgh...?

no chance.

We can blame Robson, but then where was the player's spirit?

The sickening thing was watching Brian Laws - run up and down the touchline when they got the second - he had the passion, he knew what it meant deep down - it didn't just mean three points.

I don't think many of the players understood what a Sheffield Derby is about, they weren't at their best.

What does make me wonder, is Robson comes out after the game slagging us off - he still had one more sub he could have used - why didn't he?

BECAUSE HE IS CRAP!!

It's the manager's job to instill this spirit into the players. It's never going to mean as much to them, Sharp excluded. Robson certainly didn't understand what it meant, and it cost us dearly. Brian Laws was the better manager today, as much as it pains me to say it, as I despise the fat twat.

"I think it's great Keegan has gone to Newcastle. It means my beloved Sheffield United now have gone up a step to having the 91st best manager in the football league."
A nice little quote from the BBC website, i found it funny:D

I think you can say that Geary, Bromby, Tonge, Montgomery, Kenny - they all knew from previous experience what it meant. I heard a few say at the end that Tonge looked gutted. Sure I heard Radio Sheffield say last night that Robson said he knew what derbies were like from the midlands/north-east/Manchester - Sheffield derbies are unique.

"Your getting sacked in the morning"
I hope that happens too. But then he goes and blames EVERYTHING on the players. EXCUSE ME!!! Who's the joker who decides the tactics and 4-5-1 formation in a DERBY????? Stop looking for your stupid get-out-of-jail cards Robson, your time will end soon, you may come out and act tough saying you "won't be driven out", you've said it all before and then got sacked soon after so don't think that you're going to fool us fans into putting our faith into you.

I think when we even Geary doesnt perform well enough its not going to be our day ... Thought honestly the only promising player out there was Lee Martin - Well played to him (tough game to make your debut) ... Sharp was keen but should have started and thats Robsons fault - Dont get me wrong I think his tactics were poor and from his pre-match build-up we all knew it wouldnt mean to him what it means to us - Tough to take when weve had warnock all this time but thats life ... I do honestly believe the players were embarassing today - the managment didnt know what to do so Mr Robson - if you are here to stay can you try and install the confidence in the 11 men - whoever they maybe - to wear the stripes with pride and passion because I understand its not all your fault but something just isnt right!

UTB

Robson is shit and it is HIS fault, he played shit tatics (mainly the reason for our poor first half) and he didn't get the players motivated during the game, he stood there, like he does, when his team are losing in a derby match, players would have never have played like that under Warnock, i've never seen such a passion-less Sheffield United team and Robson thinks we can still make the play-offs! don't make me laugh you misrable twat! Now ive got that off my chest...

Lee Martin played well

Robson didn't do much to instill anything in the players, Brian Laws did.....

BUT

there were leaders on the pitch who should really have been making more of an effort than they were. So we can't really lay all the blame at Robson's door, but the buck stops with him really doesnt it?

The thing is, lots could get the basic skills right before. The fact they're not now is perhaps down to how the current manager wants the players to play.

Showing commitment is clearly a management issue. Who else is to show the first signs of committing to the cause? Of course you need leaders on the pitch, but if there's precious little from senior management, it's not going to happen on the pitch either.

Hellsbore isn't really 'away' though, is it?

He won't get sacked i don't think.

Sadly not. I've always held sway with the "Well who would we get, then?" argument, but after that atrocious performance, I really don't care.

I actually didn't feel like we'd lost to 'them' today, it was just a truly awful display. It really didn't feel like a derby to me today.

The problem is though Johnny, King Kev won't admit to having made a big boo boo. THAT'S why Sornob won't go.

How's it go, Robson is for Life not just for Christmas! :D

Oh, that's cheered me up ....... :D

Gotta agree with SF. Robbos tactics in the first half was plain moronic a 4-5-1 in a derby match, what the...But the players have to take some of the blame.

How is it Robbo's fault they walked through our midfield?

Anyways, why are you bothered Johnny, you won't be a blade much longer

what sort of manager plays 1 up front in a derby game...!?

Arsene Wenger?

I'm not sticking up for Robbo here, just saying it isn't as clear cut as some people make it out to believe.

robbo picked the midfield. robbo put no bite into them. robbo put tonge who is NOT a central midfielder in there.

It works for arsenal because they have fast players, who are strong who fight and battle for each other. we dont.

Exactly... so if even our "good" players have seemingly lost the ability to trap a ball, who should we play?
