Fulham fan here again.

Slavisa was notorious for moaning about transfers (we were constantly speculating about his relationship with the hierarchy at Fulham). It's just something he does. Ultimately the fans will decide whether enough has been spent.

Just to clarify on an earlier post of mine, we didn't spend ridiculous amounts on our team (under Slavisa) UNTIL we made it to the Prem league because of FFP. Then only when we got to the Prem we spent big. But £75m was spent on 3 players who transpired to be championship standard (They are still with us). Whilst those who got us promoted were expected to be sidelined (The chairman's young son Tony Khan has done this twice now when we've been promoted), which basically meant Slavisa had to start building a team from scratch again (in the way he always does - tinkering). You don't have time for that in the Premier League (especially not with crap players).

I do reckon his previous public moaning was the reason he got so little time ultimately. Tony Khan doesn't handle criticism very well (see Scott Parker too). Hopefully your board won't take it so personally, because he's a top guy.

We still have players on long, expensive contracts who are similarly shite.

I am becoming more and more puzzled yet less and less surprised at the inactivity of this club in the transfer market, having just offloaded a suspect goalie for £24m and having a midfield fill of doilies, yet light of even rumours of whom we are tracking.

Maybe the statement from upstairs to SJ is 'they are your players now, make them good', but the evidence is that they are struggling now and won't get better, having gone through another opening four game spell and not even dented any opposition without the help from a lone gunman at the end of his days as a player.

If we make no signings and dump the cack players onto lower league teams on loans, we will be fucked. SJ can't be expected to make steak out of dogturds.

He went on the worst spending frenzy i have ever seen in my football loving life (even considering non Fulham). Jokanovic had no chance. So, he is very much completely unproven at Prem level

The post Derby interview he sounded really pissed off and bluntly answered the question about incomings.

Slav doesn't need the money. After all he had a high level playing career and has had good paying management jobs.

Time for the board to get their fucking hands out of their pockets and get some players in!!

You do know Jokanovic never doesn't "sound really pissed off"? He also talks completely flat and almost monotone. It's like his mouth is being autopiloted through interviews whilst his brain takes a nap

I expect Adlène Guedioura to sign, if you can contain your excitement but that's already widley reported. The club are, quite rightly, keeping quiet over other transfers now so as not to lose out. I wouldn't ever want to ruin a potential signing.

I really hope so because it’s getting depressing. I mean we’ve not even been strongly linked to a player besides davies and diallo during the whole window

The trouble with creating/spreading rumours, is they usually come true. So just put a sock in it... for now anyway.

On the other hand we finished on one of the lowest points total last season, embarrassing to say the least. I would have expected a near complete overhaul of the squad like the pigs have done. However because of those pesky long contracts, we are stuck with those players most of whom are on the decline now after reaching their peak... rapid decline I should say really. Or just poor poor choices in the transfer market and payed waaaay over their actual value for cough we all know who they are.

I have seen some very talented players go to clubs for way less than £20m in recent windows. The piggies have managed to assemble a team for free this season. Something seems to have clicked for them in their first few games.

I am at the point now where I think "fuck it, shove the kids on"
Billy Sharp keeps his place as he is still showing up a £50mil strikeforce and looks more determined than ever imo.

But there is problem, a very Sheffield United problem. If we play the U23 U18 lads more. We have to hope they aren't "too good" otherwise its bye-bye for next to nothing. That's why we always end up with mediocre players or journeymen.

To summarise.
As a football club we are really shocking at valuing incoming and outgoing players.

And so he should. If he is not allowed to bring players in and was told that there would be significant investment in the squad in the discussions before he signed then its a breach of contract and he should resign.

Unless there’s a line in his contract that says “will spunk munneh” then it’s not a breach of contract. It will just undermine his relationship with the chairman if he promised signings and doesn’t get them.

No one knows what he was told regarding incomings and outgoings so it’s all hearsay at the moment.

I see it more like being in a house chain, all it can take is 1 to pull out and the whole thing collapses and we're left with no new signings
