The Swansea chairman is in South America looking at possible replacements for Gary Monk. I like him, he's doing everything in his power to get it right. If only McCabe was half the man we wouldn't be in our current predicament.

In 1978 we went to South America to find a replacement for TC. One of our acquisitions was Pedro Verde. Talk about shopping at Poundstretchers.

Word has it that our fans aren't keen on players named Diego.

Swansea chairman sacks Monk, a move which a lot of fans aren't happy with.

We can have a go at McCabe for many things, but perhaps insinuating that sacking a manager and then going to the far side of the world to replace him is a good thing is not it.

They may unearth the best manager Swansea have ever seen, but possibly they'll find a manager who sets them back. Swansea have had a good reputation over the last few years of keeping with their philosophy and are a model club for success, similar to Southampton (who's former manager we have now). Going that far could really be a big gamble

I believe it was Alex sabbella we brought back from S America, we looked at maradonna, but wouldn't pay the extra. I think that's what happened.

Good point Fulwood. People should have a bit more of a balanced long term view before having a pop. The OP should go away and have a think about the way each club has performed under their respective owners before carrying on like that.

You've been listening to Rodders a bit too much I think.

Criticism on a fans board, I can't believe it either.

He wants all three of you Trarnicky.

ahha - so the post isn't about Jenkins - it's just an excuse to have ANOTHER dig at McCabe and the club.

How long did it take you to think that one up.

UTB
Criticise the club? Why on earth should anyone think of doing that when its being run so brilliantly well.

Yes, top chap, and all fans could all do with more like him, but that fellow Sabella was not so bad was he?

what sort of reasoning is that
he could be doing a drugs deal in Colombia
If Swansea get relegated hes going to look a right gormless twat

Chelseas sacked the man who won the prem last season and guided them to the last 16 of this years CL,
success has different conotations at different connotations
Monk got Swansea to 8th
then that chairman your holding up as a beacon sold all their best players
exactly what we complain about

How's he going to look if they get relegated twice?

May I say that this O.P. is tenuous at best.:(

Says everything it was meant to. Had someone like Huw Jenkins been in charge at Bramall Lane for the last 8 years I don't think we'd be facing a sixth season in the 3rd tier, or maybe McCabe's just been unlucky.

McCabe is passionate about the blades , he really wants whats best for us
his achilles heel is hes not a football man in the professional term of it and got lucky getting Warnock in but the rest of his choices have been mediocre at best.
If hed had a handle on picking the right man wed be challenging for Europe by now

Can't argue with that.

The 2 differing factions on here is interesting and I do take notice of your sarcasm in the post.

Jenkins has undoubtedly done very well at Swansea but he could still fall from grace as do such clubs as Bolton.

Garside was regarded at one point as being a go ahead type of chairman - not so much now.

The continued castigating of McCabe is at time disgraceful - but that's my opinion and of some others - you and the anti McCabe faction have their own.

I'll keep posting the positives with balance - and others can post the crap.

Merry Xmas.

Sorry you appear to have taken our difference of opinion personally.
Merry Christmas.

Indeed - interesting that you have absolutely nothing positive to say about United.
Most forum members at some time, trip into past games, fond memories etc.
Some stick implicitly with WUM & troll type posts.
Very clever and certainly barney -esq or even Hillmortonblades suggestion above.
Wonder which you fall into?

UTB

and Merry Xmas to you too.

FW. I'm disappointed. That was a genuine offer of a handshake which you have rejected which is OK no problem, but what I do have difficulty with is that you feel you are able to come on a fan's forum and tell people what they can or cannot discuss or debate. I choose to use this forum as a means of releasing my frustrations which at the moment are many. That's my prerogative and unless Foxy and co tell me other wise will be one that I pursue.
So just for the record, I feel we are going nowhere unless we once again change the manager, and in an ideal world Mr McCabe would realise he has to step aside for the club to be able to make any real progress, but understand this is unlikely. You may disagree that is fine, but please don't try and tell me that in order to be critical of the club I have to balance this out with posts involving trips to past games etc.
Anyway here's to a turning of the tides and a convincing win at Scunny tomorrow, for as much as I'm not a fan of Adkins I would be highly delighted if he were to prove me wrong.

Leek munching chairman of Johnny-come-latelys playing in a plastic stadium.

Glory hunting premier league fans; 'Where were you when you were shit' and all that

FFS, he can't even spell his own christian name correctly!

Absolutely NOT a role model club/chairman from where I'm sat.
