A few from Wilder Bingo ticked off in that one.
Interesting to hear his comments on McBurnie though, looks like it was Selles kiboshing that one.
Just that he ‘punted’ the ball at a blokes head.Anything about punters?
Or bits& piecesAnything about punters?
Seemingly the only thing Selles got right“Toe to Toe”

Wilder knows all about fines.Disappointed we didn't hear about fine margins
He’s left his credit card with the football leagueWilder knows all about fines.
Did anyone ask Wilder why he didn’t try to keep McBurnie the previous summer if he’s that good?“Toe to Toe”

Think he did……agent in his ear…..big money move…..glorious climate…..playing in La Liga against Barcelona/Real Madrid…. Etc….. sorry - we had no chance .Did anyone ask Wilder why he didn’t try to keep McBurnie the previous summer if he’s that good?
We dodged a bullet there.Think he did……agent in his ear…..big money move…..glorious climate…..playing in La Liga against Barcelona/Real Madrid…. Etc….. sorry - we had no chance .
He was going to sign a new deal but the opportunity to play la liga and something different sparked his interest. We dodged a bullet there.

It's an interesting one. Could/would he make us better right now? Definitely. However, at the time we were thinking top two and PL and we've seen he isn't good enough to play in a side that has those ambitions. This is what Selles said in public about it
One player who will not be at Bramall Lane is ex-striker Oli McBurnie, who rebuffed interest from the Blades to move to Yorkshire rivals Hull.
"I am not disappointed; these things happen and Oli made his own choice," Selles added.
"People wish him all the best. I don't know him personally, but it is what it is and he picked another club and there is no more conversation for us."
He needs runners round him to be most effective. He had Ndiaye, Berge, McAtee in 22/23. This team doesn't really try to get players past the CF.It's an interesting one. The notion of sacking a manager who finished third would suggest we weren't buying players based on being 'effective' and had much loftier ambitions than that.He needs runners round him to be most effective. 442 with Campbell/McBurnie could have been effective
100%. I was comfortable not giving McBurnie 3 years+. Less comfortable with having such an poor situation at CFThe notion of sacking a manager who finished third would suggest we weren't buying players based on being 'effective' and had much loftier ambitions than that.
I won't blame the owners for that in any way. Their selection of a replacement and subsequent lack of any coherent transfer policy to back up this strategy is where the wheels came royally off.
Not picking up McBurnie I can fully get behind. Not getting a top end Championship option instead is where we've committed suicide.
He was one of the most important players in our team that finished in the top 2.It's an interesting one. Could/would he make us better right now? Definitely. However, at the time we were thinking top two and PL and we've seen he isn't good enough to play in a side that has those ambitions.
He really wasn't...He was one of the most important players in our team that finished in the top 2.
