I think it’s just worth acknowledging what an honour it was to share a pitch last night with a team that would rival prime Real Madrid, never mind to completely outplay them in the greatest atmosphere in Europe. That Borussia Dortmund style wall of noise when they shouted ‘you Reds’ four times last night was spine tingling.

I’m just so glad we were allowed to feature in Sky’s documentary dedicated to Notts, it’s a great feature and can’t wait for the rest of the series (after the success of their ‘Barry Bannan - the League 1 Iniesta’ episodes last week. A shame they cancelled the third episode, not sure why this was?).

Last night was everything we wanted from our club: players fought for everything, played positive football, fans outstanding. Think we’re in good hands with Hecky, we regroup and go again with a fit squad next season, and if it’s the last time we get to see Sander and MGW in a Blades shirt then it’s been a pleasure!

It was an honour to share the pitch with a giant of world football. Sure, their fans may have collectively shut the fuck up whenever their team faced the tiniest bit of adversity, but they're still the greatest fans in the world. And they may have attacked our players, but they're still the classiest fans in the world.

To be fair our strikers were on the pitch when Hecky and Spence had a bit of handbags. Never seen McBurnie move so fast especially with a leg brace on. 😂
Plus Bogle hobbling to Hecky's defence with his man bag
