Decent point that not gonna get anything else when you have a manager who is scares
D stiff of changing it

Probably should have won it in the last 10 minutes a worldy save and Berge had a blocked tap in

Mcburnie & Sharp feeding on scraps

They are half decent but we didn’t really give it a go which is down to the manager IMO

Decent point in the end. They were the better team first half, we were in the second. Lucky to be level at half time. Their goal should have stood and then we give the ref an obvious penalty, which he ignores. Better second half, but both teams seemed to tired badly and the conditions didn't help.

Foderingham - 6 - Didn't have a great amount to do but was fairly safe and sound considering the conditions
Baldock - 6 - Did ok. Put some decent tackles in but MIA a couple of times second half when they broke down his side. I would have liked to see him back himself on his left food a couple of times to keep the defenders on their toes.
Robinson - 6 - Probably our best defender today. Made a few very good blocks, tackles and headers
Egan - 6 - Didn't have a great deal to do with their one striker as most of their attacks came down our flanks, but did ok
Basham - 6 - Charged forward and made a couple of good tackles but also a bit too sloppy as well.
Berge - 5 - Thought he looked slow and poor first half. A little better in the second but I think that was more down to having more time than anything else.
Fleck - 6 - Better from Fleck, although seemed to be feeling it towards the end. Seemed to come into the game more during the second half
MGW - 3 - What he was fairly terrible. Kept giving the ball away first half and nothing was coming off for him. Unsurprisingly rusty given the lay-off
McBurnie - 6 - Good and bad. Dropped and made himself available well and made some good runs. Clearly lacking match sharpness and Should have done better with our best chances, which came to him quickly but needs to have better reactions. He struggles to connect well with the ball when shooting?
Sharp - 6 - Ran the line well and made some good runs. Had very little to feed on but kept going.

Subs:

Norwood - 6 - Came on and gave the ball away badly but we looked more dangerous with him on the pitch. Does that role better than Berge because there's more urgency and he releases the ball quicker
Ndiaye - not really on long enough to comment but not greatly involved

Hecky - 6.5 - Odd one, but it's a good point against a side doing as well as Huddersfield

Huddersfield - They're really well organised and set up and have some clearly skilful players but they often flattered to deceive. Thomas impressed, although his end product needed to be better. Thought their keeper, Nicholls, was excellent.

How can you possibly give fleck a higher score than Berge 😮😮😮😮😮

there’s no Bogle rating! Probably apt, as he had little to do.

I can agree with that. Feels like the 3 points could have been ours and that's more frustrating than the result. They haven't lost a game at home for a long time and to come away with a point is fine by me.

Been said, it felt like it just wasn't quite coming together for the most point today, poor touches I noticed a few slips etc. Take the point and on to the next one.

Excellent point given the circumstances. Pretty crap performance but we looked solid at least. Was impressed with Huddersfield. Can see why they are up there.
Huddersfield are a good team to watch.
They’ve built a decent squad with some good flair players.
But only 17,000 fans including 2,500 Blades??
Their city is letting them down.

Decent result. all the midfield were crap even MGW, not much happening going foward so billy and McBurnie feeding on scraps but of course Billy will get a 7/10 Oli will get 2/10 don't understand all the slagging of McB. Got minutes into players that need it and rested those who have been regular starters when Jebbo gets up to speed in training then we can bring him on as sub, championship football is way faster than league one. Should have most players good to go v Hull midweek. Up to 7th with games in hand on most can't ask for much more.

Oh yes, and you have to give their manager credit for their pressing. They don’t normally do much of it but that’s exactly what you have to do to a midfield with Berge in it, and they did it well.

I thought we played alright without creating much and dominated one of the better teams in the league

Some very strange negative takes on this thread. Thought we shaded that in terms of quality. They huffed and puffed and did a lot of diving. Their coach learnt cheating from Bielsa (the master) and it showed. In terms of big chances we had the shot from Fleck which their keeper did an amazing save to palm onto the post, lucky with the ricochet. Berge strike on goal, a couple kicked off the line. They didn't have anything like as clear cut as that.
No problem with the subs, we tightened up midfield and were the ones pressing for the win...

They look a bit like our promotion side under Wilder, plus a bit of Norwich, good passing and movement, strong and shut down on opponents supply line, if they had Mitrovic up front they would be looking at auto.

Kevin Gage - He said "Morgan Gibbs-White has done nothing wrong all
To me that's a point won, in fact in reality we should have lost that one, the only plus for me was the defense, the goal that should've been allowed aside
The “goal” was correctly disallowed for offside. Keeper fell over a player interfering with play in an offside position.

You're kidding me?

What the fuck do some people watch?

I didn't see one defence splitting ball from him at all. Please supply a montage of these multiple instances because I must be suffering from narcolepsy as I missed all of them.

He had a good shot and one good cross late in the second half, but he doesn't make anything happen.

He's a safety first performer. Doesn't give it away much but barely creates. His performance today was OK in a game where the very best we deserved out of it was a point, as if there was a better team, then it was Huddersfield.
Makalele and Nkante made a living playing the simple balls and if we saw more than the odd cameo and a run of games from Berge maybe he would play more through balls like the beauty at Birmingham!

Personally I think Heck did a decent job picking the side. He has to use the entire squad considering the hectic fixture schedule.

Think you are over rating Huddersfield myself , they had first half we were the better team second half

Same story if we had Mitrovic

That was exactly my take on it (if you ignore the penalty shout) but none of the so called 'experts' even mentioned this as a possibility, even though the evidence was right in front of their eyes.

I thought we were a little bit under par compared to normal but managed to ride out the storm of Huddersfield for the most part.
We lacked a bit of composure especially first half and MGW to me looked a bit rusty overall.

We got lucky I think with their disallowed goal and also the penalty appeal too.
However any other day and Flecks shot goes in, as does either McBurnie's effort or Berge's follow up.

Point away at a team who are doing well is always decent and on balance of the game and despite what Sky Sports said I think both sides would feel hard done too, to lose that.

Think I must have been at a different game or the rain seeped through to my brain because I enjoyed that.

Huddersfield are a useful, hard working side and worth their place in the table so a point and a clean sheet at theirs is worthy.

Berge has had a lot of stick from other posters but I don't think I've seen him put himself about more than today.

Would have preferred to see Jebbo on for (McBurnie who was ineffective really) to try and snatch it at the end.

I think Huddersfield looked like one of the best teams we've played this season. With injuries and the pile up of games no wonder we look tired and with forced changes things aren't going to gel so well. We were twice within a whisker of winning it. I just don't get all the moaning on here! 0-0 is a decent result.
My thoughts exactly.
