Generally poor display, too many changes to the team. Hecky poor, players poor hudders are a decent team to be fair so thats the only positive i can take that we havent gifted them 3pts

That was a tough game and our performance was nothing more than 'OK'. Credit to Huddersfield, they are better than I expected.

Get back to winning ways against Hull and we can look back at it as a decent away point.

I think Huddersfield looked like one of the best teams we've played this season. With injuries and the pile up of games no wonder we look tired and with forced changes things aren't going to gel so well. We were twice within a whisker of winning it. I just don't get all the moaning on here! 0-0 is a decent result.

To me that's a point won, in fact in reality we should have lost that one, the only plus for me was the defense, the goal that should've been allowed aside

Realistic played decent against Baggies only a few days ago then 4 changes always difficult, beat Hull and the show goes on 👍

90 mins of my life im not getting back.

Truly 2nd best for the vast majority of the game (bar a few patches)

However in saying that another point accrued whilst being way off the boil so thats a bonus.

We have to be the most inconsistent team in the league in how we play every match, regardless of results. Why can't we put in a 90 minute performance or two back to back good performances?

I'm disappointed with Hecky for being so negative today. A goal in the second half would've taken the wind out of Huddersfield's sails. Forest and Boro are also in great from and now they have a chance to pull away from us, when we could have put them under pressure by winning.

I've been an admirer of Hecky so far, but his lack of subs and leaving players like Fleck and McBurnie on was weak.

no it shows how much hecky got it wrong

It's all part of the plan, we were showing a bit of form, a bit of enterprise.
If that had carried on our fans might have got a bit too excited.......We can't have that, it's not allowed.
Best to deliberately chuck in a nothing performance and make sure that the fans are kept in their box.

The problem with our nothing performances is, that once we chuck one in we can't switch it up again

Very lucky point...if I was a Hudders fan I would be fuming.

Their midfield wanted to break as soon as they got the ball whereas we were pedestrian with Fleck and Berge.

Not 100% sure about Baldock on the left as hes always looking to pull it back onto his right foot.

However very good result in the circumstances, we would have lost that earlier in the season

Poor performance, not convinced Baldock at left wingback is a viable option. Fine for a one off, but we need a left footer there to give us the width.

Too slow to make changes. McBurnie was poor in the second half, his shot just before being subbed off aside. Ndiaye showed more in his 5 mins as he got on the ball more. Not sure what the point of recalling Jebbison is if he’s not going to play him. Should have been on for the last 15 mins today in place of Sharp or McBurnie.

Excellent point given the circumstances. Pretty crap performance but we looked solid at least. Was impressed with Huddersfield. Can see why they are up there.

Hes thread multiple passes through the centre, that have both gone forward and cut through the midfield 😂

Obviously doesn't suit the agenda that hes a donkey though 😂

You're kidding me?

What the fuck do some people watch?

I didn't see one defence splitting ball from him at all. Please supply a montage of these multiple instances because I must be suffering from narcolepsy as I missed all of them.

He had a good shot and one good cross late in the second half, but he doesn't make anything happen.

He's a safety first performer. Doesn't give it away much but barely creates. His performance today was OK in a game where the very best we deserved out of it was a point, as if there was a better team, then it was Huddersfield.

'satisfied' is my overall feeling about that 0-0. Two tired, decent sides playing football in blustery conditions.

Heck had to rotate and we've managed to rest 2 key players and allowed Berge, Fleck, MGW & McBurnie to continue their recovery & get some match sharpness, of them was pleased to see Berge do well enough in a position that I'm not convinced he's made for. Bash or Robinson for MOTM, both defensively strong and supported attack at will.

Unbeaten run remains, another clean sheet against a side very quick on the counter. We look defensively resolute and showed glimmers of attacking quality.

Yeah, I'll take that.

Never looked like we wanted to win the game. Not a bad point by any means, but a frustrating lack of desire from the midfield today has cost us the possibility of another 2.

Solid point against a very in form team, at their ground.

Fleck, Berge, Baldock, MGW and McBurnie all haven't had much game time lately and clearly needed time to get into it.

Some good bits, some bad bits, but it's a clean sheet and a point on the table!

7th place with games in hand on pretty much everyone above us, I'm very happy with that.

Four games to come in the next two weeks. All still to play for.

Us and Middlesbrough with the exact same record right now. Same goal difference as well. Hecky doesn’t get anywhere near enough recognition from the media whereas all I keeping seeing is how much of an amazing job wilder is doing at Middlesbrough (which he is).

Meh. All a bit Slav era until the last 10.

Probably too many changes, and the midfield did not really click at all. We were too ponderous in the build up until late on. We were lucky with the disallowed goal which looked a terrible decision, though we had hard lines towards the end. I’ll take it. The rain did not help. Hope we can get back to winning ways in the week.

Foderingham - decent throughout, though seemed to lose the ball on the “goal”
Baldock - not so good going forward but did a pretty good job defending against Thomas. Lucky to get away with bringing Ward down.
Bogle - not really in the game offensively. Ok at the back.
Egan/Bash/Robinson- all good. Dealt well with their crosses and Danny Ward. One of them would be MoTM. Probably Egan but Robinson also has a shout
Fleck - a bit 5 out of 10. Not at his best again. Unlucky not to score
Berge - about as stirred up as a cesspool first half. Better after the break and did a few good things when he got more forward after Norwood came on
MGW - poorest I’ve seen him play. Not at the races. Hopefully it’s just rust.
Sharp - hardly in the game. Precious little service. Too far from McBurnie most of the time
McBurnie- a bit more service than Sharp. Silly fouls and falling over a feature. Unlucky at the end and I was surprised he went off

Norwood - him coming in woke the midfield up. Berge much more effective higher up. Perhaps proof the starting midfield was a poor selection
Ndiaye - inoffensive cameo

Huddersfield- if they make the top 6 they will no doubt fluke promotion on pens as usual. A team without stars and few interesting players. Given that, the manager is doing well

Lee Hendrie - awful as ever

Good point, clean sheet, move on
Seemed to be pretty rubbish conditions to play footy to be fair.

Let's not start getting carried away. We move temporarily up to 7th. Just got rid of the penultimate remaining away game vs a top 6 team. only QPR left and we came through unscathed. Kept the distance between them and us and still have the three in hand.

That's now only 6 away games left to negotiate and 11 home remaining.

Job done. Move to next.

Good point, robinson should have cost us the game again but for completely blind refereeing, stupid foul and a blatant pen

Can't believe people are criticising Heckingbottom after one average display, in which we've gained a point against a top 6 team away

Decent point in the end. They were the better team first half, we were in the second. Lucky to be level at half time. Their goal should have stood and then we give the ref an obvious penalty, which he ignores. Better second half, but both teams seemed to tired badly and the conditions didn't help.

Foderingham - 6 - Didn't have a great amount to do but was fairly safe and sound considering the conditions
Baldock - 6 - Did ok. Put some decent tackles in but MIA a couple of times second half when they broke down his side. I would have liked to see him back himself on his left food a couple of times to keep the defenders on their toes.
Robinson - 6 - Probably our best defender today. Made a few very good blocks, tackles and headers
Egan - 6 - Didn't have a great deal to do with their one striker as most of their attacks came down our flanks, but did ok
Basham - 6 - Charged forward and made a couple of good tackles but also a bit too sloppy as well.
Bogle - 6 - Not really as involved going forward and mixed at the back. Made a couple of good tackles and blocks though
Berge - 5 - Thought he looked slow and poor first half. A little better in the second but I think that was more down to having more time than anything else.
Fleck - 6 - Better from Fleck, although seemed to be feeling it towards the end. Seemed to come into the game more during the second half
MGW - 3 - What he was fairly terrible. Kept giving the ball away first half and nothing was coming off for him. Unsurprisingly rusty given the lay-off
McBurnie - 6 - Good and bad. Dropped and made himself available well and made some good runs. Clearly lacking match sharpness and Should have done better with our best chances, which came to him quickly but needs to have better reactions. He struggles to connect well with the ball when shooting?
Sharp - 6 - Ran the line well and made some good runs. Had very little to feed on but kept going.

Subs:

Norwood - 6 - Came on and gave the ball away badly but we looked more dangerous with him on the pitch. Does that role better than Berge because there's more urgency and he releases the ball quicker
Ndiaye - not really on long enough to comment but not greatly involved

Hecky - 6.5 - Odd one, but it's a good point against a side doing as well as Huddersfield

Huddersfield - They're really well organised and set up and have some clearly skilful players but they often flattered to deceive. Thomas impressed, although his end product needed to be better. Thought their keeper, Nicholls, was excellent.

Kevin Gage - He said "Morgan Gibbs-White has done nothing wrong all afternoon"
