Blades outsung them for the whole 90 minutes, everytime they tried to sing we sang louder.
Credit to the Blades fans, brilliant turnout incredible support.
As for the Hudders fans SHIT support:
attendance vs mk dons 16,896 (includes 300 mk dons fans)
attendance tonight 17,230 (includes 4,000 blades)
if Huddersfield are getting more fans in for a game vs mk dons than a local derby they have crap support

and was on a saturday,
Wednesday getting 16100 now thats funny
for a top 6 clash to hold on to 2nd

We did give hudders their biggest gate of the season on a tuesday night

I used to work in Hudders many moons ago and always go to the game there with some mates from that time who support Town.
It was very quiet in the part of the ground I was and the Blades were louder all night. They thought we were the better team (unlike at BDTBL) and have all but given up on getting past us as they aren't playing well anymore and we seem to be hitting form. Most pleasing visit to Huddersfield since Tony Agana unleashed a wonder goal to dump them out of the cup.

They are yet another team that insist on that monotonous tune that seems to be used everywhere at the minute - first heard it at Palace a few years ago, and think I heard it at Wycombe and Stevenage this season. Decent variety of songs, and uniqueness, is important - which is one of the reasons it's always good to follow United away. Though we are starting to slip into bad habits - that tune (originally sung to the words 'I wanna go home') is becoming over-used by lots of clubs, us included. It isn't even particularly good....

One thing I will say is I ws jealous of their pitch. We need that green carpet at the lane. Not that sunday league piece of shit we have at the minute.

Tut, tut dear boy.....the song which you mention is in fact a bastardised version of Sloop John B, a track on the Beach Boys' seminal album Pet Sounds, and also a singel at that time. The album was partially responsible for inspiring The Beatles to write Sgt Pepper.

Always happy to help with a young person's modern musical education.

The Beach Boys just adapted it, I think. Either way, the football version.is universally abysmal. I blame Phil Brown.

Because the Blades outsung them, it doesn't mean that Huddersfield fans are SHIT.

Show some respect. Man for man, they are no different from us. Show some respect.

It is supposed to be a sport... isn't it?

(PS This time last year our so-called 'fans' were booing the team off at half-time)

All I could hear on the radio were Blades fans.

At times you would of thought we were the home team from the noise.

See, this is where I get very confused. Is it "so-called" fans, so-called "fans" or even "so-called fans" when referring to people who think differently to you?

Are you taking Broomers to task over his use of the English language then?

Good stuff and spot on m8ty. :)

my dad used to support them back in 70s and said they were always singing over used songs and ones which you cant take serious, he was actually quite embarrassed whenever they started singing. i do agree there support is shit and i feel sorry for the people who got there tickets early as the y ended up on the left with nothing to do but i got mine late and sat on the right side right next to there "die hards" and had a good laugh at them thoughout the match at there pathetic "1 nil and your still shit" and who needs a drum to make an atmosphere! its as bad as Wednesday with that bloody band

Sloop John B is an old folk song, many versions of which were done long before The Beach Boys version.

Listening to the radio highlights of our goals is usually underwhelming when we're away as the roar of the crowd is nothing compared to BDTBL. However our fans last night sounded fantastic, almost as if we were the home side! Great job everyone who went.

You'll be telling me next that Thin Lizzy didn't write Whiskey In The Jar :-)

I didn't claim it was a Beach Boys original composition, but I didn't want to complicate things for young Loughboro by bringing up its origins, he's still struggling to come to terms with the tune.....

What? Are they mad? Thats them out of the picture then
