Some of you will probably remember the great cartoon reports that a Huddersfield fan has been doing for a number of years now - with some decent reports of our games with them when they were in the Championship.

If you can bear to relive the experience, a report of the final is now up on that site - http://www.htfc-world.com/

Enjoy! sort of...

Yep, just looking at that myself Loughers - always a good read from HTFC World - this one no different.
Nearly three weeks on and I am just about getting back to a semblance of normality.

That's fantastic! Apart from the "Halleuiah" that just belted around my office of course...

Fantastic. I love stuff like this

Oh and I hadn't seen John Terry sneaking in there until I saw @kenilworth's post!

very very funny :)

I've been loving that guy's work for years - even before his legendary Leeds relegation cartoon.

I had a couple of email exchanges with Danny at HTFCWorld a few years ago (after the report that showed Curtis Woodhouse scything one of their players in half, as I recall) and he's a top bloke. I'm pleased his website still exists. It's probably the best fan site I have ever seen (apart, perhaps, from BladesMad :))

It's cos they have been in the third division for 12 years - we had to drop to play them again

Before I even clicked on the link, I knew it was the one where he was merciless about the mathematical skills of the food retail personnel, who needed a calculator to add 2 and 2. They still do.

As you imply, frightening that it was 12 years ago.

I'm fairly sure that you and I had an email exchange at the time that agreed with his assessment of the catering staff. 12 years. Fuck :-)

Hi,

I'm the b**t*rd who wrote the report (definately more b**t*rd than genius) ;)

Just wanted to say thanks for the feedback and glad you took it in the right spirit (unlike Oldham and Notts County fans!). Already said elsewhere that I really felt for you guys as we'd experienced similar last season although Peterborough were convincing winners on the day unlike us against yourselves. It was still frustrating to have been so near to automatic during the season only to lose out.

I'm sure you'll be up next season. Said before the final that all other clubs like yourselves that have been down at this level seem to bounce back eventually unlike Town. I'm going to try to make a United game next season and bring the girlfriend/wife (getting married in March so may wait until toward the end of the season to make the trip) as a sorry attempt to apologise for taking her along to Wembley.

Just for the record - I had intended to cover the other Town/United games but missed the first as I was on holiday and was at home ill for the return game... I wasn't just picking the easiest one to cover.

Thanks again and all the best for next season,
Danny

DannyG as remarked by an arsenal fan at work... You have too much time on your hands. :)

Very funny and extra credit for putting John terry in there.

Looking forward to more reports like this

You are a genius sir!!

Loved the Alan Lee penalty and Gary Roberts ears.....
Didn't notice Terry until my 2nd look..

Keep em coming on here - Like JD said especially dirtyleeds and the pigs

SB, I get that all the time - usually posted on a football message board during work hours by somebody who's just read my report at their place of work and who obviously has far too much time on their hands ;)

I love doing the reports - I enjoy football, drawing/animation and being a sarcastic **** so I'm just combining my favourite things into a hobby. I do look at people who spend hours watching soap operas or playing video games and think my time is better spent doing the reports. That said, I also spend far too much time on video games, too. I could probably cover every game if it wasn't for them.

And just to clarify - the girlfriend is a real human and I do also play football and get outdoors often :)

Very, very funny. I literally laughed out loud at the Alan Lee penalty, the "Hallelujah" moment and Stephen Quinn going "hoo hoo" :D

Oi - you never noticed that!
You acceeded to a far greater power to point it out to you.

Danny - please post a thread giving us a link to the report when you have played the Wendy.

Shame you missed the league games last year - always enjoyed your reports.
Question is - when you get married, will you still have enough time on your hands to do these masterpieces?

So I forgot that this brilliant site existed and a Facebook memory today reminded me of it. I popped along to see if he's still doing his reports - he is, but very infrequently - and the latest one is a review of a few games over a chunk of time that contains a short video with a nod to our neighbours up the road. It made me chuckle anyway, even though I knew what was coming.
