All I've seen is the BBC stats and that Barnsley had a penalty saved. Was it better today?

Sounded better according to Keith Edwards but the Barnsley summarizer was basically laughing at how bad Barnsley were and we we didn't beat them so I think that says it all.

Cheers Roy. Slightly worrying they had a penalty saved and hit the bar as well.

Both teams could have had 3 or 4. But make no mistake Barnsley are shite. Right now we're in big trouble. We need 2 athletic midfielders and a centre half urgently. We really could get involved In a relegation fight if we don't address it soon.

Much better performance but missed several chances which would have put the game beyond the Dingles.

Having said that, they missed a penalty, hit the bar, hit the post and George made a good save first half.

Great to see Bray back and he did a full 90 minutes.

I would have liked to have seen Adams on for JCR and gone for the second.

Coventry next so they will be big favourites to win at the Lane. Let's show some resolve and get something from that game.

Coventry 14 clear now,

Coventry 14 clear now,
I know it's a big task. I'm hoping the players have some pride and start putting in a full shift.

We need to start competing with teams at the top. We've only beaten one side in the top half so far.

Some signs of improvement for me today but a long way to go.

Much better today, completely dominant for 70 minutes then went defensive when Barnsley came at us. The subs were defensive, which is probably what 9 out of 10 managers would have done under the circumstances but my heart sank when JMac came on. You just knew they would equalise.

Feels like a loss BUT I still feel better than I did on Tuesday. Contrary to what others have said I actually saw some fight and passion today. However what does that matter when you simply can't keep a clean sheet.

We weren't good enough. Had we not spent most of the game aimlessly hoofing the ball up the field to a Barnsley defender then the result might have been different. Barnsley were awful but we just kept giving them the ball and inviting them onto us.

Sounds like Brayford has given us a lift and like you say sadly we had to bring Jay Mac on. :(

Both teams looked like they will be battling relegation by the end of this season to be honest.

Whether the Dingels could get a boost by changing manager I don't know and care less, as for us despite looking more solid than Tuesday you could sense the equaliser coming as surely as Christmas.

We are just so so pedestrian it's untrue.

Incidentally that was my first away game of the season. Don't think I will be rushing to too many more in the near future

3 in midfield Coutts, Hammond, and Bash, only Bash got forward down the right

The other 2 give nothing over the halfway line, we struggled to out of our half

We needed to push on for the second

I get genuinely angry when people suggest we can still make a late run for top 2. Some fans are more deluded than our board. Everyone needs to wake up and realise we are poor all over the park, not a single player deserves the shirt and we need to ship then all out and start again next season.

Adkins has a real job on his hands,m and I hope he's given the opportunity to turn it around. We need to write this season off, hope we can stay up and then make a real go for it next season after releasing 10/15 players.

We are awful but my misery is compounded by the deluded supporters who still think, for no reason other than blind hope, we can mojnt a promotion push this season.

We had chances, but so did they. It was two teams shot of confidence & quality. Adkins subs didn't help either as we had no 'out ball' for ages in the latter stages of the match. Also the lack of pace throughout our side is very worrying, they look as though they are running through treacle.

I don't think many are looking at promotion now to be honest. Adkins seems to still be talking about "being in contention" but I think he's kidding himself more than anything.

Survival is the only realistic thing we can hope for and I think anyone who doesn't see that is relying on blind hope but who am I to say they are wrong?

We completely controlled the midfield Basham-Coutts -Hammond all played well and that should now be our midfield with either jcr Adams or Baxter backing up Done and Sharp. We were unlucky up front today ,but dominated the game and missed chances.

That's a resonable summary of the first 70 minutes.

Then everyone laid down a died in front of a very very poor Bransley team. The substitutions didn't help either.

We lost our outlets of JCR and Done ,Havent got a clue why he took Done off ,ridiculous decision and Adams should have been on for JCR , really poor management.

We are closer to the playoffs than relegation. Survival isn't the only realistic thing we can hope for... it's bad enough as it is at the moment without making it out to be even worse than it is. This is a terrible league this season and we can still achieve something, I hope the players and management think so too.

It is a terrible league with terrible teams in it like Crewe, Port Vale, Shrewsbury....

...All of whom have beaten us in the last few weeks.

I for one will be enormously relieved when (if) we reach the 54 point mark.

Would hardly say we were dominant. Comfortable yes but we certainly weren't dominant. We should have seen them off before they got an equaliser. Let's not be fooled that Barnsley were unlucky. Other than the woodwork efforts they offered precious little. On the other hand we looked about as much promotion candidates as a Blackpool donkey does winning the national

I think that's very easy to say in retrospect. Having seen Adams the last couple of games it's hardly the case that we'd have been bringing on a player in form likely to kill the game off – it might have worked, but it would have been a gamble. I think at that stage of the game, given we'd missed the chances for a second, Adkins thought it was time to try and restrict opportunities as much as possible. Which given the leakiness of the defence is understandable. We could easily have conceded with Adams on the pitch and we'd instead be reading posts lambasting Adkins for not trying to see the game out given how desperate we currently are for a win, any sort of win.

Obviously we could still go on a run and get the play offs but everything is pointing towards a relegation battle rather than a promotion one. Most of the bottom sides are winning today so that gap between the bottom clubs will get shorter. We are mid table really and it could still go any way. On form though we should start looking at the results of the teams below us than above us because I for one have no idea where the next win is coming from.

You don't get easier games than Barnsley, Crewe and Shrewsbury at this level and we have picked up a single point from all 3. Getting to 54 points isn't going to be as easy as people think if something doesn't dramatically change. I think we will stay up as I think (hope) we manage to sort something out in January that will help us but I think there is more chance of us going down than going up for sure

Wool ford doesnt give us any protection though,
