I'll say 3, possibly 4.

Top of the table clash on Saturday anyway whatever PNE do tonight- why aren't I excited? Oh yes, because Birch and McCabe have destroyed the affection I had for the club.

I reckon Preston will win 3-0 tonight.

That's not because I think Preston are better than us, but because Wycombe will be absolutely knackered after how much effort they put in defending against us the other day.

I'm impressed Mic. You introduce a post about Wycombe v Preston, then with a quick shimmy turn it into a dig at Birch and McCabe. Quality work.

If you have no affection for the club ,then you aren't a Blade are you ? Big Shock - not.

The attention seeking was amusing for a while. Afterall, we all like someone who makes us feel superior. But you really are a bore these days.

Thank you for all your kind words, it really does mean alot to me.

doesn't matter if defence is worse if you score more than them 3 pts and 2nd place so far.
Preston have put their chances away and we didn't

Takes the pressure off of us.

Preston lost their first game of the season, but haven't lost since, but because of two of their games being not played they have virtually been unnoticed, so not much pressure. Now they've popped into second place (with still a game in hand) everybody will be trying to beat them, including us.

They "got out of jail" last night with four goals out of six shots on target. They won't be able to keep that average up.

Makes October a very interesting month for us (which has always been).

Takes the pressure off of us.

I agree. It's tremendous news that our poor form means we are no longer in the automatic promotion spots.

The trick is to be there or thereabouts until the spring, then put in a run of 6 wins at the end to seal automatic promotion.

The other related conundrum to consider is that if Wycombe only lost last night because they were still knackered from the effort they put in to beat us, shouldn't we start losing games to teams who have our immediate rivals to play straight after?

dont' worry Rev.. it's all part of a 'cunning plan'.. apparently :D
